Custom screen-space dynamic lighting custom FX shader for The Sims 4, for that cozy, flattering, cinematic look. Inspired by Marty McFly's iMMERSE!
LCA is a ReShade shader (LCA.fx) that lets you place up to 4 dynamic lights anywhere in your scene. Point lights, spot lights, in any color, at any intensity.
🕯️ Up to 4 simultaneous lights — each with full toggles so you can flip them on and off independently
🔦 Point AND spot lights — point for ambient room glow, spots for window shafts and dramatic angles
🎨 Full color control — RGB picker per light
✨ Soft, flattering falloff — smooth radius rolloff with no harsh cutoffs.
💡 Light wrap diffuse — gives surfaces a soft, skin-like quality.
🎯 Smoothed normal reconstruction — multi-tap sampling kills the polygonal faceting common to other ReShade lighting shaders
🌑 Optional screen-space shadows — for realistic, live, contact-shadowed light
⚙️ Tuned specifically for The Sims 4 — depth handling baked in, sensible defaults, just works
Sliders you'll actually use
Position (X, Y, Depth) — drag your light anywhere in 3D space
Intensity / Radius — how bright, how far it reaches
Light Wrap — the cozy/dreamy dial. Higher = softer
Normal Smoothness — kills faceting on Sims and curved objects
Falloff Softness — controls how lights fade at their edges
Spot direction & cone — for spot lights, point them like a flashlight
