I've installed Linux Mint (with Debian) on an old laptop, it's perfect.
Whether you're a relative novice or a seasoned pro, we all want to get the most from our operating system. Ubuntu, like most modern OSes, has more to offer than what is presented at first blush.
I'm learning coding, which language do you think would be most useful to know?
I don't know, I can't coding. I'm sorry.
The controversy is over. Your wallet can breathe easy. Your e-mail inbox can once again buckle under an influx of deals. Yes, Groupon has announced it will not be pursuing a trademark claim for the name 'GNOME'.

I've installed Debian on my laptop to try the mother of Ubuntu, and repo problems apart, it's very fast and easy to use.
I'm trying to fix the problem with Utopic, but nothing is working...
I've just installed RkHunter. Linux haven't viruses, but it have rootkits.
Hello. I am somewhat new to Ubuntu. I am currently on 14.04. Sometimes, when I start my computer and go to the launcher, all my applications like Chrome, gimp or whatever I have installed disappear. A search gives no results. The files and folders are there. The apps which are locked onto the dash can be opened. But not all my apps are locked to the dash. Those that are not seem to vanish. A restarting of the system gets everything back to normal. Any ideas?
Iāve never had a problem like that, and Iāve no ideas⦠:(
Try on a forum or www.askubuntu.com
Hey... I use ubuntu as well and I also use numix circle... But what icon is it for ur dash? cuz mine looks totally different ^^
The system theme doesnāt change the Dash icon, you need to change it by yourself. See my old post: http://alittlebitofubuntu.tumblr.com/post/97212537261/want-to-change-the-launcher-icon-become-root-and
The image is the icon that I've used.
I really like the Ubuntu WebApps!
One of the things that I love of Ubuntu: it's minimal.
How old are you?
Iām 17 :)Ā .
If I try to install Windows in UEFI mode, it starts in Legacy, if I try to install Ubuntu in Legacy it starts in UEFI. GOD DAMN IT! WHY I CAN'T INSTALL TWO SYSTEMS IN DUAL-BOOT WITHOUT PROBLEMS!?
I'm helping a friend installing Windows. That OS is terrible, I hate it.
