A quick dusting and he was ready to go. Scourge shoved his hands into his vest pockets, following Voyās eyes from the floor to the cleaning crew. He shrugged the question off, as if the other hedgehog being there wasnāt such a big deal.Ā āNah, this is jusā thāusual cleaning prep. Gotta make sure shit is sanitary before the weirdoās get here, is all.ā
He lightly bumped Voy with his elbow to grab his attention, before heading towards a door labelledĀ āEmployees Onlyā.Ā ābesides, cominā back later would only make it harder to get a head start, too many distractions, yāknow? But I promise ya there aināt nothinā to be too nervous about.ā
At least in this scenario. But Voy didnāt need to know about any other possible scenarioās. He was here for some lessons, not a fight.Ā
āThough, I should give you a fair warning, the bosses can be kindaā¦weird.āĀ
Voy was still watching the crew prep as he listened to Scourge easily shrug off his concerns. The droopy ears twitched a little as he mumbled thoughtfully over the answer. āAh...I guess youāre right.ā He conceded, trying not to feel dumb about his question. Scourge wasnāt ribbing him for it, so he didnāt need to be so harsh on himself either, right? He gave a nod, more to himself than the other, and slowly began to relax his hold on his poor scarf.
At least until he felt the light touch to his arm. Being on edge already, it actually startled him which made his already tense quills bristle out. It did get the desired result, however, as he circled his attention back to Scourge. He gave an embarrassed noise as he reached to smooth his quills back into place. āIām sorry. Youāre right, I really shouldnāt be so nervous. Itās not like anyone here has done anything.ā Was he agreeing with Scourge or just trying to reason with himself? Either way, it did at least get him to lighten back up as he took a calming breath. Though he couldnāt exactly say all the nerves left, especially with that last warning. ā...weird? Weird how?ā
