it's so important to me that eliot is canonically not just parker and hardison's third wheel but in fact textually placed right in the middle of their relationship. when parker says she's in a great relationship in the swipe right job, she doesn't say "me and hardison and also you." she says "me, you, hardison." in the harry wilson job they change the infamous "til my dying day" to "til OUR dying day," implying that eliot has made his peace with the idea that he's not on the outside as parker and hardison's protector but an active part of the relationship that can't be lived without. hell in the long goodbye job nate's narrative doesn't have parker and hardison, the romantic couple, holding hands as they die, but the two of them holding hands with ELIOT, who's in between them. he's central to the relationship, and nothing and no one will ever change that
The more Leverage I watch, the more I feel like itâs fanfiction of some alternate Leverage show. Like someone was like, âI love this show and these characters so much, and I need a college AU and a music star AU and an Office crossover and I want them to solve a mystery at a murder mystery party on a spooky island and and andâŚâ I love it so.
Leverage S05E13 The Corkscrew Job.
leverage rewatch (64/?)
EVERY episode with Tara is a masterclass in situational awareness and improvisation techniques
My favourite scene from The Frame-Up Job. Sophie and Nate are just watching their favourite pet nemesis throw a temper tantrum like an exhausted toddler <3
Leverage: Redemption S03E10 The Side Job.
Bonus meme:
I was looking at Leverage fic on AO3, read the tag "hand job" and thought "I don't remember that episode" in all seriousness before it hit me
You seat a table of three for breakfast and the woman says hmm yes I will have a loaded waffle tower please and you say ma'am that's a children's item and she says so and you say okay fine and the man who brought a whole laptop in says ah, I will have what the lady is having and an orange soda and you say for breakfast and he says of course and then the guy who is clearly a criminal says what kind of bread do you use for your French toast and you say ... White and he says can I sub brioche and you say we don't have brioche and he sighs and says I'll get the rooty tooty... Whatever the cowboy omelette and the other two start razzing him about being a cowboy and when you come to check up on them the woman is playing airplane with the loaded waffle tower trying to get the criminal to eat it and they tip $200 and your watch has been replaced with a better watch
@batbirdies honestly this SOUNDS like something your Jason would say
the thief herself
âLiving weaponâ covers a lot and all of it is hot
âstabbing crying killing hotâ has a fantastic ring to it
Ever think about how Eliot is known - widely known, globally known - for violence? That he's killed and maimed countless people, sometimes with his bare hands? That hardened criminals, assassins, hear his name and are afraid? Ever think about how it must feel to have someone like Parker, who is fully aware of his past and everything he's capable of, get in his space and physically tease him and put stupid hats on his head like he's her own giant dress-up doll, with zero fear, zero hesitation? To be on the receiving end of that bone-deep trust, where it never even seems to occur to her that poking the beast could be dangerous?
I think about it a lot.
#i also think about the way Eliot yells at Parker and Hardison sometimes#because! he's so controlled! so soft-spoken! with everyone#because he knows he IS scary and dangerous. he keeps his demeanor so mild to put people at ease#but when Parker and Hardison get under his skin he shouts at them and shows his irritation#as if HE is trusting THEM to know that his anger will never ever come with violence. that he is never a threat to them.#he can let his guard down. he can be human. and cranky. and imperfect. he can be teased like a regular person.#i just wonder how it feels. to be seen as lovable and funny and playful and safe.#to be seen as a man after so many years of only being a weapon. Look, I have nothing against my older gifs still gaining notes - I honestly love it! BUT, this was my second ever leverage gif, and lets just say that it's just not up to par when compared to my current stuff. So, here you all are, a new improved version of this gif!
Sometimes you can tell when a fandom has been starved for new input for too long because you can make an objectively mid text post like âhey guys, I like a scene in this showâ and it gets 600 notes.
