pushing myself out of my comfort zone and trying to draw something besides people for once. so as it is time for me to grow as a person i think im going to try to grow as an artist too.

i find utility poles kind of beautiful. they stand as a symbol of the metamodern to me. standing sentry out in fields, hemming in roadsides, serving as a reminder that even though we might drive an hour away from our houses to escape the city, we are never truly removed from it all, are we? the beauty and destruction of human progress. though poles in nature can be an awful eyesore they bring us power and light and electricity. the persistent reminder of the world we live in. i dunno

i wonder if they would have crucified Jesus on a telephone pole had He been on the earth when metamodernity sprung up. i wonder if they would have nailed Him there on the symbol of our simultaneous destruction and progress

took a brief break from listening to yes the last couple days because pain and fatigue have been acting up so i felt kinda bleah and just wanted to lay low. but we are trying to come back

my friend @metamodernitree is getting a little tired of yes by now. she said the other day , and i quote , “im gonna shove chrises bass down his throat”.

but WE BALL NEVERTHELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am VERY excited to be in their 80s discography because it’s what i am most familiar with. hip hip hurray!

“Machine Messiah” is an incredible and real song. both sonically and lyrically, it holds up massively in today’s day and age especially considering AI. yes knew what was up 46 years in advance

“Does It Really Happen” is Banging. this is a Song. i GREATLY jive with this album so far and i am. i also like the continuing motifs throughout the album!!! i LOVE it when a work references itself

“Into The Lens” opening STRONG with chris on bass. why do multiple people not like this album. this is some good music and chris cooked so hard with the bass throughout all of these songs

“Run Through The Light” sounds very 80s to me whilst also retaining 70s rock elements. very interesting. i like this one a lot as well. i really jive with this album so far

TEMPUS FUGIT MY BELOVED!!!!!!!!!!!! i LOVE this song. they should let me own this song. i adore it. automatically this album has to be so up there for me just because of how absolutely amazing this song is. this song makes me think of one of the characters from my novel and when i put it on it makes me feel so full and good. one of my favourite songs ever. i first heard this song in a music club my mom was hosting a gig at and i fell in love with it thinking hey this sort of sounds like yes. went home and frantically googled the words and lo and behold it was yes. quickly became one of my favourite songs ever. anyway probably aside from 58 year old men, no one loves this song like i love this song

was not expecting the album to be that short but it was so good. i really liked it
