I have never seen a single Jamil fan seriously say he did nothing wrong (jokingly, in a "you're doing great, sweetie!" way, yes, but…that's clearly a joke). What I am seeing, practically every damn day, is Kalim fans/Jamil haters/others posting in Jamil's tag to "remind" his fans that he did bad things and isn't a perfect angel and what about Kalim who doesn't get enough sympathy and is the one who actually did nothing wrong (sure). Seriously, WE GET IT. I really need to start blocking people because it's very discouraging to see hate/criticism/PSAs about my favorite character every time I try to look for new art and posts about him. I've never seen any of the other overblotters get this amount of it. I don't visit their tags as often so maybe I'm just missing it, but trust me, Jamil's getting plenty. You aren't filling a vital need by adding to it.

And you cannot see criticism about your favorite character, without crying about it? And isn't even me talking shit about him, but about the guys that ignore the fact he is mess up like every single overblot. I do not see the same backlash about what he did different from like Leona, Azul or Riddle. You see people in like fanfic for example treating Jamil like a poor soul and Leona as a bitch that doesn't deserve to be forgive. And I don't hate Jamil at all, I think he is pretty funny and fun when the fandom are not making him a cold, suffering sad boy.

All the NRC characters are bitches, yes even Kalim, that's the point of all of them. They are not good people, they do 100 mistakes and even their tragic backstorys don't make them less guilty about what they did.
Riddle and Vil are tyrannical bitches

Jamil is a narcisistic self center bitch
We like them because they regret, they suffer with their actions not because people told them they should, but because they didn't really want to hurt people around them. They change, they work in themselves, because they finally believe that they can do and be better.
You don't like Jamil because of his past, but because of his present self. A Jamil that isn't proud of his own actions, that will not sit around waiting for someone to free himself of the pain. A Jamil that took control of his storyline, that want to be friends with Kalim for real, that wants to see more of the world. A Jamil that is finally free of his shadows.
Jamil isn't proud of his actions, why should any of us be?
