"Snoopy in Fashion" photo book from 1984.
Kunio Sato (1983)
The reason most indie novels are written like the author is terrified of doing something wrong is because the overwhelming majority of indie novelists get their start by networking in the violent panopticon of the social media indie publishing community, which favours the people who are able to win at the social policing game.
Okay so this comment got me googling because I hadn't heard of Isabel Fall
And if you also hadn't heard of her go read this because uhh... Holy Shit
I had heard of the whole messed up situation with this story, but I hadn't ever read the synopsis of the story before, and WOW
This story sounds like it could have been a brilliant exploration of gender and warfare and violence but instead it was attacked by people who didn't know how to confront a story that made them uncomfortable, and the author faced horrible consequences.
It's so important to be able to deal with stories that give you uncomfortable feelings in other ways than just attacking it. Being shown new perspectives sometimes has feelings of discomfort because it's an unfamiliar way of seeing the world.
You can read it Here
...
Holy shit.
Holy shit.
For the love of God, please read this story. It is so fucking good in ways that I can't even begin to articulate.

happy pride month
this one kinda hurts when i see it every pride month. im glad to see an art piece of mine still circulating, and with nearly 100,000 notes too! it just hurts that im separated from it. everyone in the notes thinks im gone. im still here, but my potential community and connection is lost because im forgotten in place of the art. yeah, my deactivated profile does add to the profoundness of what i was saying, but i am still removed.
wow this kinda got a lot of attention huh. thank you all for your kindness. im happy to be here still, and im not leaving!
Guess who exists again!
Hey family, you might have seen this post where Chris and I both lost our accounts and the money in them for stupid reasons. We're managing to sort it out thanks largely to you but we're still in the mess
I've opened a new account but it'll take 21 days to get a cheque for the balance of the last one. The timing sucks because I have to pay
school fees for my pre apprenticeship program ($400)
another iron infusion ($160)
another four dentist appointments (there'll be more but that's what I know of, I'm guessing $400 after my health insurance)
A health insurance premium I missed last week bc of the bank issue ($45) + a late fee that I'll try to negotiate
a debt that I left way too long as it is ($600 or more precisely 400 USD so the exact number in AUD fluctuates)
Then my regular expenses
...And my savings don't cover that anyway
Then we found out we can't use the PayPal balance until the pay-in-4 arrangements are paid off now!! I guess since they were in arrears prior or because he changed banks - that's $267.
We have to clear the PayPal balance to make the account usable again, right now it's the only money Chris has plus I need it to repay the people who helped me when I was on the street last year
Ofc I'm not expecting to cover all of that but any help while I'm applying for fast food jobs would be huge. I'm finally starting to live instead of struggle to survive entirely thanks to how you've helped me and my kids ❤️
Any help is massively hugely appreciated ❤️
My Ko-fi is still /FakeJuly
The PayPal is still [email protected]

Thank you so much for reading this long ass post and considering helping us ❤️ 🩷
Thought I should add today's wad of doctors letters cos that's what uses up all my funds
Letter to a physio, govt covers a portion but I pay the bulk of it
A letter to a sports physiologist or something? I'm not completely clear on that but my GP thought it would help with how exercising causes pain in my legs and shoulders
Another x-ray on my gimpy hip/leg
Not included: the $30 iron infusion prescription and the $130 procedure fee to have it administered 🥲

The thing that’s always missing from the “women didn’t fight for the right to work they were already working they fought to get paid” is that many women also very much wanted to work.
Women wanted to be lawyers and engineers and chemists. They wanted to use their brains in challenging and interesting ways. They wanted to get the satisfaction from solving problems and inventing new shit and getting attention for it.
I know not everyone is born with intellectual curiosity or drive or determination but some people are and many of those people are women.
Literally.
Not to mention that women were already doing those jobs, just thier husbands were getting credit.
every time someone realizes they dont have to pick between being a boy or a girl an angel gets its wings btw. and also extremely loud cheering can be heard in the distance from me specifically
btw if you've ever wondered why i make posts like this and get really obnoxious about nonbinary positivity. this is why
and for all of yall that are still figuring it out or aren't getting the support you deserve:
