Hello???? Illegal to be this sickly sweet????
hi im love you! NOT just the breakfast muffin to yoir left
thereās an ancient havanese who belongs to one of the people at my new office. he trundles around the office, never really settling down in one place and is always panting with a pinched facial expression. conversation i had today:
owner: heās just had loads of teeth removed which is why his tongue hangs out like that.
coworker: donāt pet him! he snaps š
me: oh poor thing! itās tough being a small dog. were the teeth causing him pain?
owner: yes probably. he was much kinder when he was on painkillers. he didnāt snap at anyone!
me: do you think he might still be in pain for some reason?? š
owner: no no, the snapping is just how he is. heās a small dog!
me: um ok š
Iām paying to force seven thousand strangers to see a photo of my late husband having fun with his dog. Tumblr Blaze is totally worth it. XD
Thank-you to all of my new Internet stranger friends for being so gracious about having my post shoved onto your dashboards. I loved reading all of your kind tags and comments! Both Martin and Bosco have been gone for several years now but for 24 hours, they felt very present in my life. I greatly appreciate this gift. ā¤ļø
Reblog to have your dashboard be visited by the spirit of joy that death can end but not erase.
Thank you to everyone who commented in their tags or messaged me. Indeed, today is āMartin and Bosco Dayā. I originally whimsically blazed this photo on 13 July 2022. I never expected Martin and Bosco to travel so far and make so many new friends. The experience has been such a gift for me.
caring for Louis in summer is one of the most exhausting parts of owning him. I think I've written before about how difficult summer evenings can be when he, a little restless and exhausted from a day of being knocked out from the heat, will lose all his brain cells and pace around on the balcony, barking at everything that moves (mostly flies!! not something I can control!!) , panting and whining. I try to provide as much enrichment and release for this as I can, but mostly his behaviour gets this challenging whilst we're eating dinner and I'd just like to enjoy an hour or so of catching up with my family. he definitely wants to run and zoom around a bit too, but leash laws are still in place basically everywhere and he's sooo bad for eating stuff and our fields are covered in cat shit / rotting fruit / people's compost.
last night was made worse by my exhaustion (my fault for watching the football in the middle of the night and only getting 3hrs sleep I guess) and the realisation that the benebone I bought recently has caused one of his lower canines to chip. ok, I don't know for sure that that was the cause, I just happened to notice that his tooth looked a bit worn down compared to the other and the benebone is the only change I've made to his toys recently. I'm so frustrated because I was hoping a good chew toy would help him decompress from time to time but I don't want him in any more pain and I certainly don't want to pay for more dental treatment any time soon!!
another factor iāve also talked about and definitely plays a role is the lack of physical contact weāve had lately. louis hasnāt been seeking pets or cuddling at all during this heatwave and i rarely touch him unless heās asking me to because⦠well i donāt really know why. what this tells me is that i need to plan routines where i take some time to stroke him because it definitely brings us closer together and weād both benefit.

when you have leftover spaghetti the obvious thing to do is put it on your dogās lickimat
the only advantage of staying up to watch the football was getting out into the forest at 6am after the game ended. i will admit i was sleepwalking at times but god it was good to be able to breathe normally. 19°C felt like a dream!!
