The Doctor huffed a small sigh as he adjusted the settings on the console. He dropped his mobile carefully back into his pocket— his attention turning to the door of the TARDIS just as it landed.

He moved forward slowly, thinking on whether or not it’d be a good idea to tell Jack what happened at all. He needed to though. Jack was one of his best friends, after all, and he had a feeling the truth would get to him even if he didn’t say anything at all. Jack and Michelle were friends, so surely she would tell him what happened if they spoke. Perhaps she already did…

Swallowing roughly, his hand moved to open the TARDIS door, and he spotted his friend instantly. He forced a smile best he could as he stepped out into the room.

"Jack…. Brilliant to see you again.."

"I could say the same about you," Jack said, a smirk arriving on his face. He felt his eyes get slightly teary. It had been so long since he had seen the Doctor and he was so happy. He tilted his head down and blinked a couple of times to get a hold of himself. Jack set the drinks down and walked over to the Doctor, embracing him in a hug. "You could call every once and awhile," Jack said chuckling a bit.

He let go of the Doctor, "Wanna can of pop?" Jack said, grabbing one of the drinks he had just set down. He wanted to make the Doctor as comfortable as he could, so he would know that he could trust Jack. Jack sat down on his couch, waiting for the doctor to respond.

“‘Bout three years technically, but ya’ve known time travel for longer than I have, Jack. He picked me up in 2005 and look where we are now.” she allowed a small sigh as they stepped outside.

"Couldn’t drop me off any earlier ‘cause of the risks of damagin’ the time line or…. somethin’. And I think this sorta is my vacation… I dunno. Not bein’ on the TARDIS feels so off though…”

"I know what you mean, being on the TARDIS is such an addicting feeling," Jack said, reminiscing his last time on the TARDIS. He secretly hoped he'd get an invite from the Doctor to come join him again. He loved time traveling with the doctor and wished he could do it more often. That being said, he didn't want to travel with the Doctor and Michelle in this emotional state.

Jack pulled out his phone to look up times for Big Hero Six. "Good, there's one in about two hours, that gives us plenty of time to eat!" Jack smiled, "I was worried we may have to rush," Jack turned right at the next intersection, it was only a block or two until they were there.

"Yeah…" The Doctor paused for a moment, realising he wasn’t sure of his time frame, "Although—"

"—Might want to give me the date as well, Jack. Can’t exactly meet up properly without that, can we?"

"Right, It's January 17th, 2015 around 2:15pm GMT," Jack chuckled.

"Well, no use staying on the phone any longer, see you in a bit," Jack waited for the Doctor to say goodbye before hanging up the phone. He walked into his kitchen and grabbed two coke's out of his fridge, figuring it was just a tad bit too early to start drinking.

"Big Hero 6?" she repeated the name out loud, not having any memory of hearing the title before, "Can’t say I’ve ever heard of it before. Sounds weird. I like weird. Let’s go see that one." she allowed a small laugh, lifting her bag into her hands and dropping her mobile into it.

"Or we could do the Lego Movie. I’m good with either one, to be honest. Hold on—" she looked up again, looking a bit confused suddenly as she moved towards the door.

"There’s a movie about…. legos? Goodness, I’ve missed everythin’, haven’t I?"

"How long have you been gone with the doctor? Maybe you need a vacation Like I did!" Jack laughed, opening the door.

"The theater is closer than my apartment, so I guess Big Hero 6 it is. It's a Pixar movie, so it should be good," Jack waited until Michelle had gotten through the door and then he locked it. It had been so long since he had enjoyed the company of a friend, maybe his vacation was too long.

"I don’t know if having this discussion over the phone is the best thing, Jack…" he trailed off, eyes staring blankly at the console, "Where are you? I can pick you up. Probably be easier that way…"

"You're right," Jack replied, "This conversation would be better held in person," Jack sat down on his couch, He wanted to see the Doctor again, but he had hoped it'd be in a bit happier of a tone. "I'm at my apartment in Cardiff currently,".

Jack stared out his window, thinking of ways he could lighten the mood, but he just couldn't think of any. "I guess I'll see to in a bit?" Jack said,

"Doctor! So glad you picked up, I just got home from my vacation," Jack said, a smile across his face. "What have you been up to while I've been gone? Anything exciting?" Jack was hoping he didn't miss some big alien activity or anything while in the bahama's.

**The Doctor’s expression fell at the question** Well… not sure if I’d call it exciting, Jack.. **He paused for a moment, swallowing thickly as he went on** 

A lot’s happened… since you’ve been away…

Jack smile disappeared, reminded of what Michelle had told him earlier. He knew the Doctor wouldn't want to talk about it, but he needed to hear his side of the story. "If you don't mind me asking, what happened? You sound distraught," Jack said.

Jack had picked the worst time to take a vacation, and he wanted to help as much as he could. He couldn't stand seeing the Doctor and Michelle depressed like this.

"That sounds great! We could go for fish and chips or somethin’. Haven’t had fish and chips in weeks." she replied with an excited smile, happy to be with her friend again.

"Movie sounds good too! Not really sure ‘bout what’s playin’ though. You’re gonna have to throw out some suggestions on the way, Jack. But no sequels, yea? I’m a bit behind the times on my movie watchin’."

After a long time of Caribbean Cuisine, Jack was relieved to hear Michelle mention Fish and Chips. "Fish and chips sounds wonderful," Jack replied, "There's a place a couple blocks down that serves great fish and chips, We could go there, then hop in my car and drive to the theater?". Jack had picked up more than a few flings at the restaurant he had mentioned, in fact, it was the only reason he knew they served great fish and chips.

"Now for the movie choice, how's Big Hero 6 sound?" It was the first movie to come to Jack's mind. He figured it was Pixar, based on a marvel comic, so it was probably pretty good. "That, or we could go back to my place and rent the Lego movie, either is fine with me," Jack grinned. The Lego movie was probably his favorite movie this year, but he hadn't gotten a chance to watch it with another person.

"Thanks, Jack," a small smile lit up her expression as she moved to return the hug, "Anyhow… I’d love to go somewhere. I’ve been stuck in this house for days. Haven’t really thought to leave… Startin’ to get a bit depressin’, to be honest."

She pursed her lips in thought for a quick moment before continuing on, “Plus, I’ve missed ya way too much! So let’s go, yea? It’ll be like old times. And I won’t be picky on the place like last time, promise.”

"I've missed you too! How about we go get some food?" Jack offered, "I'm a bit hungry," Jack hoped Michelle was too.  He wanted to know what had happened during the time he had been gone.

"And then after maybe we can go see a movie? Know of any good ones?" Jack asked, "I haven't seen a good one in awhile,". He had secluded himself for awhile since before his vacation and he wanted to catch up with his friends.
