Had to put my last kitty to sleep today. 17.5 is an incredible age for any cat, but I'm greedy. It wasn't enough. I know I could've brought her to an ER vet as early as Friday but it would've ended the same way. I know she appreciated the extra 3 days with me even if she was growing increasingly uncomfortable. To demand an at home euthanasia or an extra day with her would've been too selfish, even for me.

The house is going to feel so empty and the crying will continue for at least a week, but I know I'll enter 2018 with a new furry friend if I have anything to say about it.
