I really enjoyed this story but I couldn’t accept that that’s how it ends.

Self indulgent fix it, is what this is.

I love both characters exceedingly and I want to do this for them and perhaps for Burroughs for the wonderful gift that this was despite the pain it symbolized for him. My life will never be the same.

This work has 4-5 main Chapters. Chapters 1-4 and an epilogue. Each chapter has like 3 parts.

The book is basically done but in the process of serious editing. Posting as soon as I’m done with a section.

Eugene takes a moment to seek out Mary, watching as she aims a toy gun at the shot glass balanced on the head of some bespeckled man he's never met. Mary laughs at this strange playact of violent trust, eyes bright as the round plastic bullet hits the man square in the forehead. "Ha!
