Look at You
You go somewhere people go to a lot too. You dress your most decent and everyone tells you you look cute then here comes another girl and everyone just basically broke their necks following her. Wow! She looks so stunning. Oh my my my. Here comes the green monster in everyone.
Maybe it's just me but I am guilty of looking at other women and wanting to shrink. Sure, I look okay. But when the beautiful ones come around, my existence just gets thrown to oblivion.
Everyone of us has insecurities and as much as I hate to be insecure, I hate myself more for being one green eyed monster. Always observing. Looking back and forth. So anxious and so helpless.
That's why I'm going to set a goal. It's a big one. Like a web that just stretches out to cover many other little but impactful goals. I made it a goal to love myself. To find something to love about me.
At this time and age, it is easy for women to see themselves according to what society sees them to be. It is so easy to rate beauty through likes on profile pictures or the number of guys looking at you or chatting you on messenger. The heck with the numbers. At the end of the day, when you're all alone in the dark, what matters most is you.
What you think of yourself. What you feel about yourself. And I know what I want. I want to feel that burning passion of having a life. A life that I don't care if anyone ever looks at or if anyone is hooked on to. I will write more even without caution, care more without restraint, laugh like everyone cares to hear, see the good like wonder is everywhere and no soul crushes another, love deeply like I have never been broken...live like it is oblivion that comes next.
