It's already been a couple of weeks since Stranger Things: Tales from '85 came out on Netflix - have you watched it yet? I just recently finished it and I'm genuinely impressed how the team translated our 2D environment designs into 3D and animation! Here's my obligatory circled name in the credits, ha ha - now I gotta figure out if I can actually post any of my work, hmmm...

Taking a short break from my regular art posting to share something related to one of my other hobbies... thrifting! As I mentioned a few months ago, I've recently gotten very into thrifting; however, the more I got into it, the more I wanted a hub for local events, stores, and community - there're tons of Discords for thrifting in general, but I couldn't find anything specific to LA, so... One of my favourite features is I've saved all the recurring secondhand events I know of (like flea markets) as Discord calendar events so people can see what's happening this weekend at a glance. There's also a channel for sharing events that aren't already on the calendar so they can be added as well! Right now it's still pretty small, but I'm hoping sharing it here might help it grow - hope to see you there!

I wanted to formally share on the feed that I worked as an environment designer on Stranger Things: Tales From '85!! To be honest, I was kinda surprised to see something I helped concept in the announcement (I specifically remember designing those sheets, ha ha)! I'm genuinely thrilled to see how well our concepts were translated into 3D! Can't wait to see more and hopefully I can share my actual work later - catch the premiere April 23 on Netflix!!

I'm baaacck!! Thank you all so much for your patience during my winter hiatus! Starting the year off with this study of a photo from @eamonsphotos - it's simple, but this is one of my favourite angles to paint buildings because it really just lets you focus on the shapes and proportion... plus I loved the lighting!!
