Trip: How is he? Aoba?

Virus: Oh it’s you. I keep telling you to at least knock on the door.

Trip: I’m always coming in everyday so it shouldn’t matter.

Virus: It’s called having good manners between whatever it is. (The full phrase is “good manners even between friends”)

Trip: Okay okay *knock knock* Is this okay?

Virus: Hmf….

Trip: So where’s Aoba?

Virus: He’s sleeping over there. He just fell asleep.

Trip: Oooh I see. Let’s have a look. *walks over to the bed* Aoba’s fast asleep isn’t he? Oh, there’s even traces of tears.

Virus: Well he was crying.

Trip: Bully. Don’t bully him so much.

Virus: I don’t want to be told that from you.

Trip: Same goes for you kind of thing. You know Aoba, no matter what we do he’s trying really hard not to react.

Virus: Yeah, but the part where he tries to but can’t seem to be able to is a good trait of Aoba.

Trip: Hey. What if Aoba really becomes a husk like this like Sei, what will you do?

Virus: What about you?

Trip: Me? You should know without me having to tell you, something like that.

Virus: Well you’re right. I’m the same. Even if Aoba-san becomes like a doll.

Trip: We won’t let him go. Since he’s finally ours. No matter how worn out he becomes.

Virus: Yeah, Aoba-san is special

It has been noted that Mink’s route is woefully mistranslated in some versions. Although we can get the gist of him, we are missing small details of characterization and his relationship with Aoba. The translator allowed their personal dislike of Mink to bleed into their work.

With that in mind, the drama cds and short story translations may be more faithful to his character, assuming the translators don’t have the same bias.
