Update! Final Fantasy XV Stadia Version Screencaps and Details

WOI got access to footage from the Final Fantasy XV Stadia version! What the heck is the Final Fantasy XV Stadia version? Read our last post!

The picture above is the launch screen for the Stadia version. We weren’t able to make a gif, but the background and the bros move separately.

The name “Luminous Productions” has been added to the startup credits after “A Final Fantasy for Fans and First-Timers” and “Square Enix.”

Above is a screencap of the [Title Menu]. The Episodes and Comrades are in the [Downloadable Content] menu as usual. Below Special is [Challenges], the aforementioned “Crazy Challenges.”

For comparison, here is the menu from the Windows Edition. The Windows Edition logo, [Mod], [FFXV Information] and [Quit Game]. This indicates the Stadia version is, indeed, more akin to the Royal Edition than the Windows Edition.

We weren’t able to get a look at the [Challenge] menu yet. However, we wish to clarify the “Endless Magitek Armor” mode. Along with the possibility that it is a Magitek Exosuit mode, it may also refer to waves of Magitek soldiers and mechs.

Finally, the Avatara menu, [Online], is missing from the Main Menu. Therefore, the Avatara System is not included in the Stadia version.

Yesterday, Square Enix announced Final Fantasy XV for Google Stadia with “four brand-new Crazy Challenges.” Unfortunately, official information was scarce at the time. 

However, with Dengeki, Game Watch, and Square Enix finally putting out official information, WOI will walk you through everything we know about the Final Fantasy XV Google Stadia version.

So, they mucked up the item entry for the Avatara reward today, but it’s called “Festive Ensemble” for either gender. The location can be found with the other information in the Avatara System megathread on /r/FFXV. (Personally, I’m not keen on how the female avatar one looks). Additionally, Update 1.02 has gone out for Comrades (Standalone) which resolves the PS4 EU save transfer issue.

Just a general head’s up if anyone had bothered to set any alarms, reminders or anything else of the sort. The top is a screencap of the Square-Enix NA press release (surprisingly, not edited still despite the fact they’ve quite literally reuploaded the XIV trailer five times), and what the official EN Twitter account has put up.

If there are any further content delays or anything else of the sort, I will mirror a post to here as I will also be logging the update and any subsequent bugfixes that have been reported since the last patch over on the /r/FFXV subreddit as per usual with BlindingAwesomeness.

As I keep seeing “Wait, there’s an anime?!” in response to the English voice actor message, it is this:

Episode 0 Ardyn Prologue Animation

Available: TBA. | Price: TBA.

An animation will be released prior to Episode Ardyn.

Episode 0 Ardyn Prologue will be premiered at a Kingsglaive re-showing in Japan.

Plot has not been overly detailed, but will depict Ardyn's past.

This was previously announced during the cancellation stream.
