I honestly have no idea how to feel rn
On one hand they got married and live at the cottage
And their banter and flirting as humans was very cute
AND WE DIDN’T GET A KISS OR A HUG OR AN “I LOVE YOU”
And what about Aziraphale and Crowley’s 6,000 years on earth together?
They’ll just never remember it?
The specific version of Aziraphale and Crowley that we knew are just gone?
We got an indirect kiss from Aziraphale, and some hand holding which was cute.
Despite no kiss or hug or direct “I love you”
Their love is still very much there.
Their love doesn’t need direct verbal confirmation like “I love you”, because we all feel it and see it, and obviously so do they.
Aziraphale and Crowley still find each other, no matter what universe.
There definitely could have been a worse ending and I don’t necessarily hate the way it ended either, it makes sense ig.
It just took me by surprise that’s all. I’ll admit I was initially pretty confident that we weren’t gonna get them turning human as an ending.
It obviously would have benefited from a full season.
Am I a bit disappointed rn?
Sure, but at least we got an ending, one with them being cannon and married, and we weren’t left with them being separated.
At the end of the day (or in my case very early in the morning), I was still left smiling like an idiot at these two.
Also, that was in fact a very fan fiction coded ending. I’ve definitely read fics that ended VERY similarly 😭
