As an introvert, the desperate frantic social needs of extroverts often feel suffocating, and like they are just jonesing for a dopamine hit, rather than actually wanting to spend time with me. That's not friendship to me, I'd rather spend time with someone who is interested in who I am, rather than someone who just needs another body to feel whole.

This is sort of a new epiphany for me, at least the depths of it. Recently had a friend of 20 yrs guilt trip me hardcore, for having to cancel because I am having nerve pain in my back. (No worries, it's feeling better, have doctors appts lined up). It dawned on me that if she could not show empathy for my pain, then she clearly is not friends with me for me. Now I'm thinking of things like people I've known that seemable to be able to unflinchingly ditch people when they find new more fun friends. Thought they were just damaged like many of us, but now I'm wondering if that's the extreme end of the extrovert scale. Seriously, these people have been parading around telling us were the ones that hate people, all while they are unknowingly have self-serving motivations. It makes me angry, because I cannot stand people who use people, and now a certain level of my discomfort with extroverts makes way more sense, because in the moment I intuitively know they are not there for friendship, and I feel used in the moment.

The main reason to not burn white sage is that it's traditionally used in some sacred Native ceremonies like smudging, which also shouldn't be done by non-Natives. And due to non-Native spiritualists obsessing over it, it's started to go endangered bc of it being harvested so often and so incorrectly.

I don't think I'm ready for a world where vaccinated #extroverts begin foaming at the mouth after a year of #isolation, feigning for a hit of dopamine at the expense of their #introverted friends personal time. Be prepared for hours of meaningless #SmallTalk about inane aspects of their day, with a high likelihood of guilt trips for cancelling, regardless of the reason. It is not healthy to need others that much! Get to know yourself people, develop your own interesting inner world so you stop interrupting us in ours!!

#Republicans currently have legislation in 40+ states to limit access to voting. They're trying to make it so you can't vote past 5 pm, resulting in lower wage workers (largely black and brown voters) being unable to vote after completing their work day, and they are closing voting locations in districts with high black and brown populations - All while limiting the acceptible excuses grown ass adults can use to be eligible for an absentee ballot, just to make sure black and brown people are screwed from every angle.

Throughout the history of the US, Republicans have sought to block our better angels from establishing a governornment that is truly for the people, by the people. Their baby, The Electoral College was built solely as a means to limit the impact of an individual citizen's vote. They are still in power at every level in OUR government. If you believe in the concept of democracy, I urge you to vote your conscience, live your values, and vote Republicans out of office. Not once, not twice, but for decades. Nothing will change until this is done. Full stop. Don't forget, ballots are secret, so noone but you and God will know the story of how you helped save democracy.

How can they make they're way through difficult times when even their most #empathic friends just don't seem to "get it". Friends who would save a dog, but cut a bitch, because to them humans have no value. They are bitter and closed off, and it often feels like my only defense is to embrace my role as a #loner, to keep my heart light. How do you guys cope with this?
