I was listening to this song and the lyrics seriously made me think of the current situation in the series as a prelude to “The End”. Here are the lyrics (x)

The song could be about Castiel’s fall from grace: He wants to be caught by Dean after he fucked up, but Dean isn’t there because he didn’t trust in him yet again. He now feels broken and human and tries to convince himself he can stop the pain by just willing it so, but he is too broken and emotional and starts to develop bad habits. In the chorus, the one telling him “Don’t turn away” is a flashback of Dean who plays the part of common sense. But Castiel is still hurting a lot and he is afraid he lost his power, and he feels so insignificant. Castiel feels guilty and blames himself for all of the angels that fell. The whispered voices are Crowley, Naomi, Metatron… Also, Castiel is afraid of his mortality, but he also wonders if he should just give up his life. And the two lines in Latin spoken towards the end of the song is Castiel praying to be saved. Then he becomes what we know as endverse!Cas. #I think I just wrote a fanfic.
