The anti-vaccine panic is literally causing children to die. All because of some bullshit beliefs popularized by celebrities with no actual knowledge of science or medicine that vaccinations lead to autism, which is also horrifyingly ableist. You’d rather risk your child getting sick from a disease that should have been wiped out decades ago than the slight (and completely untrue and unfounded) possibility that they might become autistic? Wario will annihilate you.

Around 1300 people, many of them children, in the US have died to easily preventable illnesses such as measles. Over a thousand times more than that have become infected and possibly had to deal with lifelong medical consequences. Although there is a small portion of the population that is unable to receive vaccinations for medical reasons, as many people as possible should be immunized. When the bulk of a population is immunized, this creates what is called herd immunity. Herd immunity ensures that those who are unable to be vaccinated can still avoid contracting a disease, because all the people around them are immune and will not transmit it to them. 

Herd immunity occurs when roughly 75-95% (depending on the disease) of a population is vaccinated. When parents reject vaccinations for their children, even if the child recovers quickly and does not suffer any serious medical consequences from a disease, they may transmit it to someone else (who might not be able to receive a vaccination) who will. When parents refuse to get vaccines for their kids, they make herd immunity impossible and contribute to the spread of disease and child deaths.

Chemicals are not inherently bad. Chemicals are in everything. Chemicals make everything. There’s chemicals in everything you use, eat, drink, wear, and touch. The majority of these are harmless to you. A vaccine created by highly trained medical scientists and researchers is not the same thing as a vial of battery acid, as many fear-mongerers would like you to believe. Anyone who refuses to vaccinate their child is endangering their child’s health, as well as the health of the people around them, and that is outrageous and unacceptable.

Having problems finding a lipstick color for your cosplay? Look no further. I just found someone’s video tutorial on how to make lipsticks out of crayons. In the video she says that she found out that all of her favourite lipsticks had lead and that she found out that she could make lipstick out of lead free crayons. The entire time I was watching this video, I thought that it would work amazingly for someone looking for some cerulean blue lipstick for Vriska or Jade green lipstick for Kanaya or maybe some other cosplay character who has a weird lipstick color. In the video she also says that you could mix crayon colors to make weird colors.
