Giovanna flipped herself upside on the couch and let out a laugh. “If anyone should be using Cas as an excuse for anything it should be me. You’ve totally been avoiding with them, and you barely talk to them. I may not be in the house anymore, but I’m still in the know.” She rolled over onto her stomach and raised her eyebrow at Rea. “Not only are you avoiding your friends, you’re avoiding my question. How are things really with fedora boy?”

She chuckled as Giovanna got comfortable on her couch and changed her position and crossed her legs. “Well fine. I’ve been avoiding everyone because the last thing I want is anything awkward to happen.” She shook her head with a laugh, “Really? Scott told y- never mind.” Frustrated, Rea ran her fingers through her hair and huffed, “Things are fine. A little different than before, but fine. It’s just…um… I’m okay…” Her nose started to tingle and her breathing got a little short, she was going to cry about anything…not in front of Giovanna.

“They’re your friends, they thrive off awkward and just plain stupid. You should really talk to them, especially Scott.” Giovanna gave up on trying to get get comfortable on the couch and rolled onto the floor in front of it. “Things are fine? And you’re okay? Look, from one toxic relationship survivor to another, those are the worst things you can tell someone who actually cares or who can help. I’m not going to tell your business. At the end of the day, this is your relationship and you know it the best. So if you want to talk, now would be the time.”

“Oh I’m peachy and I have my own place now. Being out of the O’Brien’s has down wonders for my skin. Which is probably why you look five years younger. I would say ten, but things haven’t been so peachy with the new/old bae now have they?” Giovanna leaned forward and put her elbows on her knees. “Don’t bother lying to me, my senses are top notch. Plus, I hear things from your friends who you’ve been avoiding.”

“Oh congratulations. You’re practically glowing.” She raised her eyebrows and nodded, genuinely happy for her but the salt was still there. Rea couldn’t help but roll her eyes, still smiling through it, “I haven’t been avoiding them.” But she had. And she was also avoiding the question… “I figured no one really wanted to see me after things with ass up so I’m keeping my distance for a while. I’ve been keeping contact. It’s not the worst thing to do.”

Giovanna took a moment to look around as she stepped inside, before plopping down on the couch. “Nice place you got here. I’m surprised, you’re even home. Scott says you’re not around much. I mean, I can’t blame you, I’d hang out with my boyfriend instead of my loser friends too. Where is the boyfriend anyway?” She let out a laugh and waved her hand dismissively. “I’m sorry, my manners just seem to slip when I’m with you. How have you been?”

Rea hummed to herself before shutting the door and taking a seat in a chair. She curled up, hugging her knees to her chest as she listened to the other female. “Well I do have a job, and he does live off the island so I’m not here as often as before… but it’s not because I don’t want to see anyone. Trust me.” Her face started to heat up, in embarrassment and anger, “He’s with his friends, I’m assuming. I just got back.” A little laugh escaped her, the last thing she wanted was to be sitting across from her “ex’s” ex-girlfriend…fiance…shit. “Oh, I’ve noticed. It’s quite alright. I’m fine though.” Rea lied while picking at a loose thread on a pillow. “How are you, Giovanna?”
