Thank you <3 I’ll try and get some paintings up soon.
I just started reading symmetry Today. I love it and need more in my life. Little cute baby Cole<3 thank you for such a great story
Thank you for saying that <3 I’ve been working on it a whole bunch lately, please hang in there! Thank you for being patient. And I really appreciate your kind words :)
Bro I just stumbled on your blog and scrolled through and realized that you're responsible for pretty much all my favorite dragon age art. You're incredibly talented.
Thank you :x That is a huge thing to say. I hope I draw another one you like at some point!
I saw @nipuni did an amazing Overwatch crossover. I wanted to draw everyone’s favorite death blossom.
I haven’t drawn in forever, sorry :x

Symmetry ch 11 is up. Sorry for the wait! It’s a monster... 12k words/35 pages.
I hope you guys like it. Thank you for your patience. <3
Okay but like-- I know Mismagius has the hat, but it’s all magic and pink. I think Absol’s a better pick for a Cole tribute. Hear me out--
Dark type, horribly misunderstood and feared by humans.
Attacks with slashing attacks that often crit and KO stuff in one hit.
Battlecry is the most unexpectedly gentle sound ever.
Shy. Afraid of people but still approaches to warn them of danger.
Also Mega Absol has motherfucking angel wings and Cole is an angel so.
I have been wanting to do a cosplay version of this wonderful art by @allublog for so long now, basically since I first saw it - it remains one of my favourite Cole fanarts ever. I hope I’ve done the piece justice!

Chances of working on [ X ] chapter:
The current chapter: Nooo kill me
The chapter after the current chapter: Fairly likely
The chapter 100 pages and 3 plot arcs away from the current chapter: Incredibly likely
The ending: Hell yeah, let’s just re-edit that shit over-and-over
A minor plot arc in a theoretical sequel that will take place years after the epilogue and will require tons of development and may never actually happen: I COULD SPEND ALL DAY WORKING ON THIS
What's Skyhold plumbing like? Are we talking running water in a sink, or bowl and a jug of water, or what...? Sorry for the strange question, but I have to know because reasons.
I don’t think we’re shown in Inquisition, but I recall there were chamberpots and metal bathtubs (as in the kind you fill with a bucket) in the previous two games, so I would assume the plumbing situation isn’t much better in Skyhold. Unless you want to headcanon that Solas gave Skyhold to the Inquisition because he was tired of peeing into a pot in Haven, I guess.
Anyone have a better answer for @allublog?
Thank you!
Symmetry ch 11 tidbit
Cole uses the open window to teleport into Sera's room, a book in his hands. He appears rather awkwardly, facing the far wall, and manages to turn just in time to see her spill a bottle of ink on her pillows, swearing furiously.
"Nugshit! What'd I tell you about sneaking up on me, Creepy?!"
"Sorry, Sera," he says absently, tilting his head to read the word she was writing across her knuckles. It's difficult because the letters are upside-down. He sounds it out and then blushes, looking away. "I-I wanted to ask you for something..."
Sera glares steadily at him. "Go ahead and ask. Don't think for a second it means I'll do it."
Cole holds out the book hopefully. "Evie has to read this and it's very boring. I think she would be happier if you read it, too, and drew your pictures in it."
Sera squints at him but grabs the book. "Just to be clear, yeah? You're asking me to deface library property?"
"You could draw faces, o-or anything else you like. She laughed when you drew Blackwall as a sad bear."
Sera snickers to herself and starts flipping through the pages, considering. After a moment she snaps the book shut and looks back to him. "Yeah, all right. I'm not doing this for you, though, you got it?"
"No..." Cole says slowly, "it's for Evie." He frowns, confused.
"Yeah, I know-- argh, nevermind. Just go, I'll do it," she waves him off.
"Thank you, Sera," he says pleasantly.
"Stop talking," she replies, and throws a pillow at him as he disappears.
Worked on Symmetry ch11 a bunch this weekend, but it’s still got a ways to go. This chapter’ll be another long one-- 22 pages so far already.
Here’s a tiny, silly scene in the meantime. :x
Allu is my favorite person on tumblr <3 I love them and their beautiful art.
Soooooo happppyyyyy. Thank you, Anon! <3
Fade lore question
Okay so this is something I’m still very unclear on:
Do all dreams take place in the Fade? Or only some?
They talk about the Fade as ‘the land of dreams,’ but Dorian says ‘the first time I went to the Fade…’ when he tells his story of the very polite demon he met, implying it was something that happened later when he was old enough to remember. The Wiki says all living beings except dwarves go to the Fade mentally when they dream, but only mages reliably remember it.
So are all dreams in the Fade, and maybe a bunch are just forgotten? Or are some dreams only in minds? Or maybe all dreams are in the Fade, but in the DA verse people only sometimes dream? Maybe some nights they don’t dream at all?
And what, then, makes Harrowings so special? Do they push a mage into the Fade with a giant ‘kick me’ sign on their back? Or is that the first time the Apprentices have ever been to the Fade? And how would they not go to the Fade before that?
Please help. I must know.
The way I understand it is that every single dream does in fact occur in the fade except you’re not there physically, you’re there spiritually. When Dorian is referring to the first time he went to the Fade, I believe he’s talking about the first time he entered forcibly (I explain a bit further down) which would make sense since he mentions this in the arc where everyone enters the fade physically via the anchor to face the nightmare demon.
Hmmmmmm. That answers some things, but now I just have more questions.
First off, they make such a big deal about ‘physically walking in the Fade’ that I think that bit is actually super duper rare. Dorian says it hasn’t happened for a thousand years or something, and it was basically that crappy thing Tevinter mages did that started the blight.
Still, though... what’s that mean for the circle-of-mages-taking-lyrium then? I mean, I guess in Asunder they didn’t physically go to the Fade? But it was still a special thing they did to find the demon. Why was it special? A shared dream? Can you use lyrium to hop into someone else’s dream? Can you use lyrium to mimic the powers of a dreamer?
I like the bit you have about how they are at risk for being Tranquil if they’re killed when they use lyrium to enter the Fade, though. That meshes perfectly with how they said dreamers like Feynriel would become tranquil if they died in a dream, while normal people would just wake up.
I still don’t get the Harrowing, though. How do they know the mage will find a demon? Do they lure a demon there on purpose first? Or is the Fade so full of demons you can’t throw a metaphysical rock without hitting one? In which case, how many times in a mage’s life do they encounter a demon while asleep and have to outsmart its attempts at possession? Once? A few times? A hundred times? Every night? (It would certainly change how I view Vivienne’s discussions with Cole if that’s the case.)
