Suits: Season 8 Episode 1 thoughts
- Being honest, I wasn't sure how I felt about Katherine Heigl being cast - it definitely wasn't excitement. BUT this first episode was a great introduction for her character and it made me much more hopeful. I sense much angst in the future regarding both Alex and Samantha wanting their name on the wall, which could become be really awesome or horribly drawn out - time will tell.
- REALLY excited about the outcome of who became managing partner. I love Harvey, but that was a great decision. (Wendell Pierce is a joy to watch onscreen. I'll always happily watch him)
- I'm really hoping to see more Katrina this season. She draws me in.

Might I just say that as I was scrolling down this post, all that was going through my mind was “This is my porn. I could watch this for hours this is so pleasing in so many ways.” Then I was actually floored by the caption because turns out it’s not just me.

I always need more Rhodey in my life.
One of my favorite things about Joe’s acting with Cassidy is when his speech slows and the words are drawn out like a taunt. and he gets that look on his face that reminds you that he’s over a century old and knows how to be cruel. and at times revels in it.
Those times when he’s backed into a corner faced with revealing a darker part of himself. and every part of his mannerisms switches from idiot junkie best friend to dark hearted piece of shite, as he’d say.
“You’re right. she did really like me” He says, slow. With a smile. His eyes piercing. Not thinking about anything but making Jesse hurt like he’s hurt.
Could not agree more, and it comes off as wonderfully natural - not too overstated.

I'm finally all caught up. The first season of this show had a rough start, in my opinion. But I stuck with it, and now this current season? Every episode has been pretty fantastic, I think.
