“Here we go.” He announced as he was maneuvered by her hair. Chuckling a bit afterwards. Wasn’t like this was the first time this happened to him. Reminded him of dealing with cute over hyper spinel. “Yeah I actually had something similar but it was to communicate with yellow diamond but then she activated it to blow up.” He laughed again but quite nervously with a look of slight discomfort. “You know I love spending time with you entrapta but many of the adventures I’ve been on have been traumatizing. Could you promise this will be a more safe one?”

Steven really gets along with entrapta and is always encouraging as well as helping with her scientific pursuits. Like her and bow out of all the spop characters are his favorite people. Bow because they’re very similar and like the same stuff. Meanwhile entrapta just reminds him so much of peridot. Especially with her passion for inventing and technician. He always loves helping her and giving her tech to study because not only does it fill his need to help people and gives him a sense of home with how similar she is to a loved one but he loves seeing how her eyes light up and how energetic she gets.

“Oh yeah that couldn’t be more true about gems! Like they’re an alien species that’s basically a form of ai. There’s all sorts of coding involved. Pearl told me when I was little that a gem’s form is basically a hologram but with mass. Their entire self is the gem. But in my case it’s gem and human organic. I’m a hybrid.”

       “ —I’ve done something similar with my hair! “   she exclaims, motioning with the prehensile pigtails as she does so. They jolt upwards, and then extend. Tendrils reach to shake Steven’s hand, another lock going to pinch a curl of his, and another snaking around his jacket and back. She chuckles, eyes bright as she comes back to conversation.

       “ I combined organic matter – me! – and built upon a technological understanding of biomechanics in order to combine the two and produce these!   Although, I will be totally honest, they’ve sort of become their own thing so I don’t know how to reproduce them, but that’s okay! “

Entrapta sits herself down in a little “seat” made by her hair, legs folding as she makes herself comfortable. She sticks her elbows on her knees and rests her chin in her hands, head atilt as she continues their little chat.

       “ Being a hybrid means you’ve got a proficient understanding of both operational systems, right? —Meaning not only do you understand what limits and strengths your mortal organic matter have, but you know how to understand the advancement of your  gem  technology and half, too?   How fascinating! How does it work together?! “

“Oh yeah I noticed that! That’s really cool! It’s like you have another pair of limbs that do all the walking for you.” He chirped up in an excited and impressed tone. Chuckling a bit afterwards. At her question he nodded in agreement. “Yeah but trust me I didn’t understand all of it over night. It’s not like my mom left behind a instruction manual.” He laughed again in amusement. “Would’ve been helpful but my mom didn’t exactly think alot o her decisions through.” He explained smiling a bit nervously. His mom was a touchy subject still. 

“Anyways my powers were fueled by my feelings. So it took a lot of self discovery on my part to control them and discover all my powers. Being a gem hybrid is one thing but mom was pink diamond. One of the leaders of the gem species as a whole. So I had so many powers to uncover. Like there’s floating, healing and I can even bring beings back to life! With my tears or kisses. Learned I can destroy too. That was a really traumatic experience if I’m being honest.”
