>> another day
Lycus turned around, sensing the presence of another person- in fact, someone he hadn’t seen before, which was definitely surprising. She didn’t notice him, though, and kept reading the new notices on the board- things like requests for what people wanted, an advertisement that chickens were half off next week, etcetera.
Well! It wasn’t very polite just to stand there and gawk [at a lady no less], so he gave her a friendly “I’ll be pinning up the rest in a few seconds” and went back to using the thumbtacks to pin the papers together on the board.
[And if he didn’t do them right, they’d fly everywhere, and then he’d be running around like a fool trying to pick them up before they flew into a pond or something similarly unfortunate]
Almira turned her attention to him as he said that, giving a slight nod before resuming to what she was reading. It was always good to know about the goings on of the town, especially if she was to stay here for a while, after all she had wanted to live here all along, but alas she was to be exiled to the forest, at least it were more peaceful there.
As the new posts were getting pinned up, Almira was quick to read them too. It seemed that nothing interesting, well interesting for her, was really happening at the current time, thus her problem of boredom still lingered. She looked to the boy, perhaps small talk won't hurt, would it?
"So.... you do this for a living?"
