Kai thinks for a moment. What would his dream supernatural ability be? "I think I'd like to be able to teleport.. or fly." He shrugs. "I want to be able to get to places quickly. What about you?"

"it does." she replied, agreeing. despite being on the ice constantly training, not skating in general felt weird to her. especially when she loved it a lot. free skate though? she loved that the most. when she could just skate around without her coaches berating her on her techniques. "i love my coaches, and i get they only want me to succeed, but sometimes i just need a break from that pressure." she needed a break to just be herself. hearing his question, she nodded her had. "my sister and her daughter, my niece." it wasn't often that she got to see them. but when she did, she did her best to spend as much time with them as she could.

"Yeah, I totally get that. There's a huge difference between skating because you have to and skating because you want to." He glanced down for a second before looking back at her with a small smile. "Free skates are always my favourite too. No drills, no whistles, no one telling you what you did wrong every five seconds." At the mention of her sister and niece, his expression softened. "That's nice, though. I bet your niece thinks it's pretty cool having an aunt who knows how to skate." He chuckled. "How old is she? And do you get to see them much, or is it one of those things where everyone's schedules are impossible to line up?"

"Of course I've missed classes," Trixie sputters out, stumbling over her words. "It's just... for no good reason? Being sleepy isn't exactly an emergency."

I thought she was sleeping when I was trying to learn from one of the physicians, but I chuckled and that terrified her so much because I apparently sound exactly like Bob. Not the builder... the demon."

If your sleep paralysis demon is showing up in mid daylight and doing patient care, that's a pretty productive demon." He grins. "Though now I'm curious. Was she terrified or was it more of a 'oh, there you are again' kind of recognition?"

That's not me being late, that's you being impatient." His smile softened as he looked down at his little sister. Between classes, practices, and everything else, they hadn't had nearly as much time together lately. "So," he continued, "besides... what's got you waiting outside the arena this early? You miss me that much?" He chuckles, jokingly.
