With a sigh, the Professor finally stood up. The tone Lillie used soon after was… strange? It surely wasn’t as happy as before, enough to make her slightly worried - but that didn’t mean she was going to show it. To bring back that smile on the girl’s face, Burnet made sure to keep her own.

“Of course you can.”

“I...I came back because I heard my mother was up to her old tricks again.  I left to support her, as you know...but now that I know she took it for granted...I don’t want to help her anymore.”

“Is that...is that normal Professor?” Her lips press together tightly, and she looks down at her shoes, “Is it normal to be tired of helping someone?”

“Never as much as I missed you!” the Professor joked around, giving her one last squeeze before breaking the hug, taking some seconds to look at her. Again, it seemed like it’s been so long, yet so little time since their last hug…!

“Is it just me, or you got taller? I’m calling it, you’re going to surpass me as well in a matter of months! That’s so unfair!”

“Maybe a little taller!  But don’t worry Professor Burnet, I’m sure I won’t grow too much more.  After all, my mother is rather short without her heels.”  It’s an attempt at teasing, but her face falls a little.

Lillie fidgets with her backpack straps, “Can I ask you something Professor?”

The blonde crashes into her surrogate mother with a heavy thud, but she cannot be bothered by the ache in her muscles, not when Burnet is clutching her to her chest and rocking her side to side.

Lillie hides her face in Burnet’s shoulder and squeezes her tightly in return, “I missed you so much”

Fun fact; the Slowbro in Lillie's team is the Slowpoke shown frozen in Lusamine's cryo chamber, while Lusamine was stuck in Ultra space, Lillie managed to free it and revive it for herself

For each “⭐️” I get, I’ll write a headcanon about our muses.

Sad thought; Lillie is afraid of fighting with Pokemon because of seeing how her mother trains her staff. Lusamine is very cutthroat when it comes to battling, and will often fight dirty.

After coming back from Kanto, Lillie has lost that fear of battling because she learned the proper way to battle. The fair way. This is her Trainer Card!

  Ashdgyhjd….. Moon tries to sign several different things at once and ends up with some signs that don’t make ANY sense at all. Uh, yeah! You can totally keep it, but, uh, don’t show anyone, cause that’s kind of private…

Lillie nods eagerly, "Of course!" She tears the page out of the notebook and folds it neatly before sticking it in her backpack.

"Thank you, really, Moon. I'll cherish it. Can I give you anything in return?"

Lillie could not offer much in the way of help with her mother, as it was plainly obvious that the President did not listen to her blood any better than she listened to anyone else. But she could offer moments of peace to Moon at the very least, Arceus knows the teen deserves it.

Moon's hat is laid on the bed next to Lillie, with it's owner sitting on the floor between her legs. Gentle, pale fingers run through Moon's hair, occasionally twirling locks around the digits.

"Your hair is really soft, Moon. You should grow it out a little more, you'd look even cuter"

 Moon gulps and pulls her notebook out of her bag, flipping it to the page where the poem was. It was only a few stanzas, and the rhyme game was a little shaky because she couldn’t sound the words out, but it was a solid poem, nonetheless.

  Uhm, tell me what you think when you’re done.

Lillie takes the notebook quietly, reading over it intently. She bites her lip, fighting a smile at some of the comparisons. But she loves it, and wants to keep it.

"It's wonderful, Moon. May I keep it?" She requests, holding the notebook to her chest. In thanks, she presses a nervous but sweet kiss to her cheek.

Howdy dash! I just want to drop this to explain what exactly is happening for the next couple days/weeks! I am doing a special event with @gnzma @curiousobjecthead @alolune and @hatsudenki (and maybe @autidcte if Silv wants to!)

Other people are free to comment or interject on happenings of course, but the main cast only includes all the people mentioned. I have three of my own blogs involved and playing integral parts, including this one.

These events take place some months after the end of Su/Mo. However, Lusamine does not show improvement in her mental health, and what has tipped her over the edge is meeting Mohn again, who does not remember her, but also seeing that Guzma is getting a chance at a happy, realtively functioning family.

All of these events have been discussed before hand with all parties, with some exceptions and surprises of course because sticking entirely to a script is boring.

Anyone may ask for the plotline of this event if they would like to know what is going to happen, but please don't info mod!

Lillie gives her friend a smile, which she hopes is reassuring, “If you feel comfortable with sharing it with me now, then please do!”

“I know it will be wonderful, because you wrote it, Moon.”

 God DAMMIT, Guzma. She was so gonna hit him for this. Uhm, uh, shit, hold on, I don’t- I wasn’t ready? My poem still needs proofreading- SHIT, forget I said that! She’s spiraling a bit, just because this caught her off guard. Her face is BEET red.

“That’s okay, Moon.  If you’re not ready, I can pretend to not know until you are!” Lillie insists, squeezing her hands gently in the hopes of calming her.  “I can wait for you.  I will wait for you.”
