“Do you know what happens when you hurt people? ….When you hurt people, they begin to love you less. That’s what careless words do.”

Everybody isn’t going to love you. Most people don’t even love themselves.

Part of me still loves. More of me doesn’t.

You don’t have to alter yourself just so you can stay. You don’t have to force the pieces to fit. Spending hours with them do not mean you have to breathe the same colors. Countless coffee dates and drinking sessions do not require you to speak the same language dwelling in their tongue. Listening to them talk about their passions does not mean that you have to catch the fire as well. Sometimes, they laugh but what you hear is an alarm that makes you wonder if it’s supposed to be funny. Sometimes, they are sprawled all over the place and you feel like a stranger standing at the other side of the door, hesitating to ring the bell. Sometimes, they are at the height of the party but your heart is an uninvited guest even if you’re standing beside them all along. You should know that it’s okay. You can be a raging red in a sea of blush. You don’t have to wish for the same story like theirs. You should not feel guilty for saying no. You are not selfish for not wanting to adapt how they have fun. You are just simply acknowledging your differences. You can still be there to hear all the reasons why they cry. You can still lead the toast in their success and console them in their failure. You can still answer their phone calls in the middle of the night. Sharing yourself doesn’t mean losing it. As you hug the people that you love, don’t forget to embrace your individuality as well.

I’ve thought about giving up. Funny how it’s always an option. The easiest one, even. I’ve thought about turning my back from the things that I wanted do just because I was scared of failing, of making mistakes, of disappointing. But I’ve thought about being stagnant, too. Because if I were to drop everything just because they scare me, even without trying at all, then I would never learn, I would never grow up. I would never be brave like a warrior. And for that I knew that if I insist on being confined in these squares, always stuck with what I already know, I knew I would always be a step short from becoming that version of myself whom I would be proud of; of becoming someone whom my five-year-old self would look up to, whom she’d consider her hero. And God knows I don’t want to fail her. So get out of bed, it’s a brand new day. Go on, for you have work to do.

Who am I kidding. I wanna be in love. I wanna be loved. I wanna be trusted and cared about.

Self love… I lack, I fear, I forget Yet I wish, I crave and I try I lack self love because I don’t know how I fear self love because of what people might think of me I forget self love because it is easier to hate myself I wish self love was easy I crave self love and confidence I try self love and i fail

It’s funny how you can be friends with someone for years but it can end in a minute because they’re unwilling to swallow their pride.
