Hello baby boos! As Karneval is rapidly approaching, and many international fans will be coming to Ljubljana in these days, we decided it's high time we post something we've had in our drafts for a while now!
A long while ago we received this Ask about the locations of the music video for A sem ti povedal.
We took our time to reply but while we were researching for it, we thought, why not make a post of all Joker Out’s music video locations?
So here it is! Check out our masterpost under the cut! 👇
NOTE: All locations mentioned and linked below are available in this google map. Below you can also find a printable PDF map of the Ljubljana city center, with our suggested walking tour that should last around 1.5 - 2 hours!
A sem ti povedal
Bojan’s part
an apartment, unclear where.
Jan’s part
Jan’s part was shot in the tunnel under Grajski grič (Castle hill) in Ljubljana. Pedestrians are usually not allowed to walk through the tunnel, so you cannot explore it by foot, but you can drive through it. If you are not exploring Slovenia by car, you can take the public bus in Ljubljana, number 2 drives through this tunnel.

Jure’s part
Jure’s part was shot in the abandoned quarry Pleše in Škofljica (about a 20 minute drive from Ljubljana). The quarry is not officially open to the public, though it is full of visitors on warm, sunny days. Quite a lot of people take a swim in the turquoise water as well. Some even dive into the water.

Kris’ part
Kris’ part was shot in a forest. It is unclear which forest exactly, but if you do decide to explore Slovenia, most of the country is covered by forests, so you should have no trouble finding one.
Group part
The final, group part was actually shot very close to the tunnel from Jan’s part. The street they run down is called Poljanska cesta and it is also close to the Ljubljana market and puppet theatre.

Park scene
The scene where the children play in the park was shot in Severni mestni park (North City Park) in the part of Ljubljana called Bežigrad. The park is known for many play areas for children and cherry trees, which bloom during the spring months. Behind the children you can see a triangular shaped block of flats, known as a ski jumping hill among the locals. It’s also visible from Ljubljana Castle.

A random forest. These boys sure do love their forests.
A hole in the wall
A wall with a hole next to some text is located in Metelkova, an autonomous cultural and social centre, but be careful if going there as this whole wider area of Ljubljana is a little bit sketchy. On the wall is written ‘Z glavo skozi zid’ (‘To bang one's head against a brick wall’).

A church
This church is called ‘Cerkev Srca Jezusovega’ (Church of Jesus’ heart), located on Slomškova ulica, where The Old Power Station is also situated.

Kot srce, ki kri poganja
The infamous pool where Joker Out’s first-ever music video was shot was located in Vrhnika. Built in 1952, it served as a pool until 2005. After being closed down due to not meeting regulations it was repurposed as a venue for film projections and concerts (Joker Out apparently even had some of their first concerts there). Today, the pool has been torn down and the area is planned to be repurposed for sports activities.
Omamljeno telo
Most locations are unclear, but:
Abandoned warehouse
The abandoned warehouse is the Stožice parking garage. While Stožice Arena and Stožice Stadium are fully operational, the project was never finished. The Stožice complex was supposed to have a shopping centre as well and the parking garage is not in the best shape as can be seen in the music video. It’s only open while events take place.

Stairs
The stairs are a part of Podhod Ajdovščina (‘Underpass Ajdovščina’), it has three entrances, they used the one from Dalmatinova ulica. The underpass is another half deserted space. There used to be a lot of shops and restaurants, but now only some restaurants remain open. However there are some talks about it being converted into a cinema complex in the future.

Bluza
Jazz Club Kazina
Joker Out envisioned a love story in a kafana for the Bluza music video. Kafana is a distinct type of local bistro, common in some former Yugoslav countries, which primarily serves alcoholic beverages and coffee, as well as food. They used the Kazina building in Congress Square, Ljubljana, to represent this. Built in 1821, historically it was a gathering place for the local elite, but now it is a jazz club and fine dining restaurant.

Do you think Bojan has very softly touched Jere's belly
Bojan has both very softly and very hardly touched Jere's belly 🙂↕️ I don't think we have any doubts about that. This is clearly a man who knows how to touch that belly and how that belly feels like 👐
