Tubbo made his way through the familiar tunnels of Ranboo’s den with a pleased smile. He had left a little later to visit, but he had brought a gift for his big friend and he was excited to give it to him.
He usually wasn’t one to give gifts to people but seeing Ranboo purr while his face lit up and tail wagged warmed Tubbo’s heart. Also the cuddles he always got afterward were a bonus.
That night he planned on giving Ranboo some of the honey from his village. The small golden tinted jars would be small for the giant, but at least then the giant would be able to try it.
Tubbo walked deeper and deeper into the caves and started to notice a loud rumbling noise that shook the rocks around him. He worried that maybe Ranboo was hurt or something had gone wrong while he was away, but as soon as Tubbo entered the main cavern all worry vanished from his mind.
In the center of the cave Ranboo was lied down on his back, curled up with his arms crossed beneath his head while peaceful snores escaped his body.
Tubbo sighed at walked over to the giant to pet at his soft fur. He was rewarded with slow sleepy pits before one giant eye cracked open to stare at him.
As soon as the human came into his sight a lazy smile spread across the giant’s face. He yawned loudly before opening both eyes to stare at Tubbo lovingly.
“Hey big man,” Tubbo whispered, “Sorry for waking you up...I brought you some honey!”
Carefully as to not shake out the jars too much Tubbo opened up the sack on his side and showed the honey to his friend. The giant’s eyes lit up as more purring escaped him.
After a moment the giant hummed at him and Tubbo tilted his head questioningly.
“What’s wrong?” Tubbo asked.
Slowly the giant lifted up his head from his chest and Tubbo noticed with a soft laugh that Michael was curled up against Ranboo’s neck. The sleepy child murmured in his sleep at the giant’s movement but otherwise looked completely peaceful.
“Awe he looks so comfy,” Tubbo laughed quietly.
The giant continued to stare at Tubbo and hummed again a little louder. Suddenly Ranboo’s long tail pushed against Tubbo’s back and pressed him close to the large fuzzy arms.
Tubbo giggled as the tail pressed against him, “You want me to be up there too?”
This time the giant purred again and tilted his head up further so that Tubbo could climb on. Slowly Tubbo dug his hands into the long fur and climbed his way up to the giant’s chest. Once he was safely resting on Ranboo’s collarbone he snuggled up next to Michael who immediately latched onto him.
Another loud purr vibrated against him as Ranboo lowered his head over the two. Tubbo felt the giant slowly run his hand over the two protectively and chuckled.
“Mine...” Ranboo rummbled.
Tubbo hummed questioningly, “What was that big man?”
“My family...mine...” the giant said sleepily before pushing the two so they were resting in between his neck and his chin. When his head settled down on top of the two they were safely between the giant’s head and neck. From there the loud purring reverberated through Tubbo’s whole body.
As the purring slowly morphed into snores Tubbo pulled the sleeping child closer to his chest and let the soft rumbling of Ranboo’s breathing lull him to sleep.
