“are you talking about me? because i didn’t mean to bother you if you didn’t want to talk,” layla was genuine in her question. she definitely wasn’t the type interested in making enemies or being an annoyance to other royals. “well, i doubt the british royal family will disappoint. they strike me as the type to go above and beyond.”
“No, I’m not talking about you, I’m sorry if I made it seem that way!” He quickly attempted to reassure her, not realizing how his words could have come across. “Oh I’m sure you’re right, I’m sure they’re going all out tonight.”
linneanilsson:
“I would love to dance if you promise to never call me madam again. I’m 18, not 80. You may call me Linnea. If you insist on formalities, then my title is Princess.” She did appreciate formalities as a form of respect upon first meeting, but was fine with them being dropped after. Casual was much more her style.
Al laughed and nodded at her. “Of course, my apologies.” He probably should have just assumed that she went by ‘princess’ instead of going will ‘madam’. Standing up, Alphonse extended his hand. “Well, then shall we dance, Linnea?”
katrinazoe:
Katrina wasn’t very much impressed by how passive the crown prince seemed. Sure she was sharp with her words and not the nicest, but she didn’t expect him to be so accepting of her mean comments. “Try all you want.” She huffed, putting the thoughts of marriage and Iceland to the side. She let him take her to the dance floor, hoping the dancing would ease her mood.
Try he would. He had to be able to do something for her. He didn’t want her to be as unhappy as she seemed to make it out. He wanted a queen that would be happy. “Get ready for the best dance of your life.” He told her dramatically as he began to dance with her.
crownproud:
“Well, there’s plenty of people in this room that I am sure would love to watch you make an ass of yourself and not for the simplicity of entertainment either. But I don’t believe that complaining is making an ass of yourself, not to me, at least.” He’ll smile though, he never meant to laugh at him, but he couldn’t help be amused by what the other had to say for himself. As he speaks of his fiancee a pout is offered up on his lips and he feels somewhat bad for the other male. “That sounds so sad…you’ll win her over, I don’t doubt it for a moment. I have, she’s – alright. We used to be friends but,” he shrugs a little, flicks his fingers. “It is what it is, as they say.”
“Oh there’s no doubt about that, I’m sure there’s a lot of them.” He agreed, smiling. “I’m glad you think so. I just don’t want first impressions going poorly.” Al admitted, looking down at his hands. He wanted the Summit to go well. Seeing the other’s pout made him happy. He liked getting sympathy for Kat, even tough he wished he didn’t have to in the first place. “I hope I can. She’s tricky. I like the challenge a bit, though, and I like her personality. It helps that she’s beautiful.” Alphonse paused, nodding. “Yes, it is what it is. At least you already know her.”
- ̗̀✰ •【 HUNTER PARRISH / CISMALE / 28 】announcing the arrival of his royal highness, ( ALPHONSE MIKALSON ), the ( CROWN PRINCE ) of ( ICELAND ). I’ve heard that he is ( ABSENT MINDED ) & ( PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE ) but can also be ( HONEST ) & ( PATIENT ). ( ALPHONSE ) is arranged to marry ( KATRINA ZOE OF LICHTENSTEIN). Rumor has it (HE KILLED HIS UNCLE FOR TRYING TO USURP HIM, PASSING IT OFF AS AN ACCIDENT)
This is Alphonse and he’s passive-aggressive
Alphonse doesn’t really like being called Al, but he won’t call you out. He prefers to be called Alphonse, he likes his name.
Al is a playful boi who teases and jokes. he just loves to have fun. he isn't a wild child, but he’s not a boring guy. he would rather die than be boring
He is trained in all sorts of interesting talents; he dances, duh, is an expert in archery and all sorts of swordsmanship. he also enjoys gardening.
Alphonse gets into moods, depressive, guilty, upset moods. These come from the guilt of killing his uncle when he was 16 years old, but he would never let anyne know, he decides to be alone during these times so that no one can figure out that he is guilty
He and his parents are not close. They love each other, but his parents were always too busy for him. he was clsoer to his uncle than anyone.
He is betrothed to Katrina Zoe and despite how she is, he is happy about it. he enjoys her as a person
hrhkatelijne:
“Who needs the truth? I’m just looking for leverage,” she blurted out carelessly. Realizing what she said, she flushed, and stammered, “I- I mean. To… tease my friends about, you know? If they do something silly.”
Al smirked as she tried to save what she’d just said. “No need to lie to me, sweetheart. Everyone wants leverage on others.” He understood the need. He prevered not to look for it, not really wanting to manipulate others.
dustgcld:
AT THE OTHER royal’s words, pup merely gave a slow nod. he tended to be less… severe than katrina - not as intense, nor as dramatic - though most times, that only really meant that he was also less honest. kit was always the more upfront one; pup, though never the type to bite his tongue, sometimes appreciated the benefits of keeping things civil even among those he didn’t favour. ❛ i’d prefer she didn’t, ❜ pup answered, though whether he meant ‘dying’ or ‘marrying alphonse’, he did not clarify. ❛ “we’ll see,” indeed. i wouldn’t hold my breath, but perhaps you’ll surprise us both. ❜
He wasn’t sure, but he was hoping that the other was only speaking about dying. Of course, he wouldn’t want that. But if he meant that he didn’t want her to marry him...then he wasn’t sure what to say. “I hope so.” Wanting to change the subject now, he smiled at him. “Are you happy about your marriage arrangements?”
crownproud:
“I don’t consider you an ass, so I’ll have to disagree with that claim.” He thought he was honest, it was refreshing – really. Koenraad was doing his best to make a few allies whilst they were here, being used as a bargaining tool was less desirable, but conversation about culture and countries so far removed from his own? Proving himself to be a worthwhile future king but collecting friends instead of enemies? It could lead to nothing but good things the Dutch prince hoped. “I’ll be taking that as much-needed compliment, thank you.” He bows his head a little, a gentle smile resting across his features. “So, have you met your future spouse yet?”
“Oh, I’m so glad to hear that. I can’t stand making an ass of myself, I’m glad I haven’t done so.” He breathed a sigh of relief. He wanted to have a good time, so he was going to make himself. Starting with this gentleman. Alphonse was really glad to have found someone nice, even if he’d been laughing at the things Al had said. “I have. She is stunning and I adore her. She does not like me or my country...And she isn’t the most gentle person, she can be harsh. But I’m hoping to sway her. Have you met yours?”
espenhagebak:
“why do you have to continuously point out the flaws?” he teased lightly. “dangerous, but fun.” espen had done plenty of dangerous things, more dangerous than riding a cart. “you would have to be projectile vomiting for the action shots to convince anyone of that.” espen had done his fair share of sneaking out of windows — except it was more a balcony that had glass doors. “are you sure you’ll be able to fit through a window? like, you’re pretty tall — is that possible?”
“Why do you have to lie about your plans?” He asked, also teasing the other. “Yes, I imagine it would be fun.” Al could only wonder how many times the boy had done so out of boredom. “Yes, well, the point still stands.” He crossed his arms over his chest. “Excuse you, I can fit through many windows.” He laughed. “I have gone through windows to escape my bedroom more times than I can remember. It’s dangerous and fun.”
linneanilsson:
“Boring things like how boring it is to have to talk to people?” She meant it in a teasing manner, but it was up to him to figure that out. There was a hint of annoyance at the selfish nature of his comment. However, she wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe he didn’t mean it that way. “Then you should dance. There are so many people here that one of them must want to dance, and I can’t see anyone stopping you.”
“Yes. I’m an example.” He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. He was whining and it was unbecoming. He needed to stop, it just made him seem boring as well. “Well,” Alphonse raised an eyebrow. “Would you like to dance then, madam?”
katrinazoe:
“I wish I could leave your country out of my life. I don’t want to live there, and I don’t want to marry you. Sorry if that offends you, but at least I’m honest.” Katrina was being a little harsher than she should of, probably from the alcohol. She finished her own drink and it the glass down. “They won’t change anything I’ve already tried.” She said with a huff of annoyance. “Come on, let’s just go dance.” She needed a distraction from the converstion topic.
“I know.” It seemed like that was all that he could say. There wasn’t anything he could do to make it better. “You haven’t offended me, I like your honesty, among other things.” Even if she was unnecessarily harsh towards his country. “Then we’ll try harder.” He shrugged. Surely there was something he could do for her...perhaps not, though. “Yes, your highness.” Alphonse nodded, taking her hand and leading her to the dance floor.
espenhagebak:
“i can doubt my own plan. i invented it.” he stated with a laugh. espen turned on his heels to walk backwards, his front facing the boy. “and do you have an idea for this? like body boarding on a cart out of here? or — “ he could see plenty of possible ways to accomplish it, but he was curious as to what alphonse could think of. “books about weasels, yes. when you live in a palace and aren’t allowed to do lots of thing, you occupy yourself. i have a knack for quick escapes — just never attempted in a suit.”
“You did not, you stole it from a movie.” He shot back, amused by the other greatly. “That just sounds dangerous,” He chastised. “I was going to suggest the ill card, but that could easily come off wrong with how many cameras and journalists are out there.” Al pouted, crossing his arms over his chest. “New idea: sneak out a window.” He’d done that loads of times at home, but never with journalists and cameras. “Ah, fair enough, little weasel. Oh, I didn’t even think of that.”
espenhagebak:
“have faith.” he shook his head with a chuckle. as he beginned to think about it, he realized he had not seen any carts that he was speaking of. espen slowly began to walk, keeping a pace for the other to walk with. “would you rather walk out or have some fun? — as well, have you ever tried to catch a weasel? especially a little one? it’s nearly impossible.”
“You don’t even have faith,” He laughed, shaking his head as well. Alphonse just kept following after the other royal, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Honestly? We should combine them. Let’s plot up out own escape. An unnatural natural escape,” The prince suggested. Now he was in a fun little mood. “Spend a lot of time with weasels, do you? I have not tried to catch a weasel, but they are known for such. Seems fitting enough for you, trying to make quick escapes.”
espenhagebak:
“i can assure you that it will probably not — but we’re still going to try it.” espen stood up from his seat lightly, sitting his drink down on the table. “if we fail, we’ll just walk out. they can’t stop us — or at least, they can’t stop us both. and i’m pretty sure i can out run you, groot.”
“Oh, I’m certain it’ll fail.” He agreed, smiling. Even if they ended up getting chastised, they’ll still have had fun doing it. Standing up, he nodded. “Walking out seems like a much better bet. Hey.” Alphonse laughed. “I’ll have you know I’m quite fast, you little weasel.”
katrinazoe:
“What I want? What I want is to not have to marry at all. I have no desire to marry someone I have no interest in, move across the world to what may be the most idiotically named country ever, and be separated from my family. What I want is to be able to live my life in peace.” She huffed, taking a drink again. “Well I suggest you drink faster, because I am not the most patient woman in the world.”
Alphonse was quiet for a moment. He despised when people talked ill of his country, though he did his best not to let it show. “I understand that you don’t like me or the arrangements, but please leave my country out of it, however idiotic you might find the name or how much you might dislike it...” He asked calmly. “If you’re really so against being with me then I’ll see what I can do.” He murmured sadly. Al knew that Katrina didn’t like this, and he wasn’t going to just force her to marry him without trying to call it off for her, even if he quite liked her, despite her harsh words. He quickly downed his drink, setting the glass down and now waiting for her to finish hers.
katrinazoe:
“Well I wonder how much fun you’ll be once you have to rule a country, and I have to stand by your side silently.” She said quite sharply taking her glass when it was served to her and taking a long drink. “Well perhaps after you finish your wine we can have a dance then.”
“Is that what you want?” He asked, raising an eyebrow. He was more than willing to let his queen help rule this country. He didn’t want to have her around as some little prize or decoration, and certainly not as someone who was only good for producing an heir. “I would love that,” He smiled brightly, taking a large drink.
