i actually do not think you can separate hozier’s music from politics/his beliefs because so many of his songs are explicitly critiquing war, colonization, racism, genocide, misogyny & gender roles, etc and many songs critique multiple of these at the same time (or can be interpreted as doing so). i do understand the like… ooh fae/bog man vibes because they do exist but reducing him/his music down to just that does a huge disservice to the messages behind the songs
