"My best friend's favorite number is nine.
there isn't a number that's higher.
If everything gets high enough,
Nothing can hurt you anymore.
Nothing can hurt anyone anymore."
That childish and naive want
There why else but from a reaction to the people who'd hurt them
For those people who hurt them to not exist anymore.
...For humanity as a whole to not exist anymore.
That's all they've known other humans to do, isn't it?
And now you come here doing that all over again.
So they have a desire, one You, ironically, become the one to make real.
And they come to appreciate You for it, like a certain deer.
And you give them the power for their want
For the world to not exist anymore
So nothing can hurt them anymore.
So nothing can hurt anyone anymore.
...They aren't evil. They never were.
They're not a good person, sure.
With time, they could have been.
But... growing up like that isn't good for anyone. They needed the opportunity to change, not godlike power to make all their terrible wishes come true. And they are a child, judging them for that reaction to it doesn't make much sense.
They needed change. And You did change them, for the worse.
You took a path, "where you were so close to the road you couldn't understand where you were going."
But who am I to say, hee hee?
...Maybe you knew, but just didn't care.
