@alumneia
omg the ttk guy!!
Rolling up a character on a slow night.
I found it amusing that the B-plot of the Robin II series is that Tim just wants to play knock-off D&D with his friends.
Starting from the Golden Age, if you needed a drag persona and style for any particular reason Bruce would already have it. In the Silver Age he was so good at drag that he'd have to be reminded to break character once he was no longer in front of an audience. In the Modern Age his parents worried that he was "too sensitive", that there was something wrong with him, and he was sent to a strict boys boarding school for reasons he didn't understand where he was violently bullied and harrassed for being "quiet and not very athletic", and he had an encyclopedic knowledge of women's fashion before he even studied to be a detective. Like do you see.
Batman #266.
"Jim, have you met my drag persona yet :D?"
Look at him, he's having so much fun with it too. He already had a name and costume ready, he's done this more than once.
Yes!! Exactly!! Also almost forgot Superman/Batman '03 #27, where Bruce's consciousness gets transferred into Helena Wayne for the explicitly stated purpose of causing "psychological distress", and he's instead perfectly comfortable with it.
Favourite Platonic Duo: Round Four Match Three of Eight
Dick Grayson (Nightwing/Robin) & Tim Drake (Robin)
Bruce Wayne (Batman) & Dick Grayson (Nightwing/Robin)
So first of all I want to start by saying that I was talking to some people before this round was released about which matchups I most dreaded seeing this round and this one was NUMBER. FUCKING. ONE. Nightmare scenario.
Since this is a "favorite" tournament, I did vote for Dick & Tim as they are my favorite relationship between two people in all of comics, ever, bar none. As soon as I saw the blog runner clarify that family were okay to submit, they were the first thing I submitted, instantly.
But I do believe in the Triangle
And as far as I'm concerned, whoever wins this is taking it home for all three of them. I know this is a duo tournament, so technically this will not be true, but in my heart this is My Final #myfinal
And while Dick & Tim may be my favorite, and I'm primarily a Tim fan, I think it's really hard to be a canon Tim Drake fan and not be at least a little bit obsessed with Bruce & Dick.
Afterall, Tim wasn't just Dick Grayson's #1 fan (although he absolutely was, and it does pre-date this second thing), he was also the #1 fan of the original Dynamic Duo.
But I do mean to fit in some actual Dick & Tim propaganda, so let's go for it.
One of my favorite things about them is that while they did both end up adopted by Bruce, originally they weren't, but they just basically decided they were brothers anyway, and boy did they act like it.
They fight, they make up. Their love is apparent. They play fight. Dick gives Tim noogies and hair ruffles. Tim looks up to Dick like he's the most amazing person ever. Dick is so protective of him, he threatened someone that they'd be eating out of a tube if he dared hurt him. Tim just shows up at Dick's apartment unannounced and sometimes uninvited, but not unwelcome. They talk about each other's relationships. Tim was Dick's best man at his fake wedding. They talk mad shit. They are each other's hype man. They tease and prank each other.
They are incredibly in-sync with each other. So much so that most of their fights are rooted in fundamentally not understanding the concept of the other person disagreeing with them.
Dick is who Tim talks to when he's feeling suicidal and Dick actually drops everything to talk to him, lying and saying he wasn't busy when he was obviously about to head out. Something that is not something Dick normally does for a whole lot of people, actually.
So anyway, I'd love if people would vote for Dick & Tim. But if you don't on this one, I can't be mad. I know where you're coming from, too.

alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

Been feeding baby goats that a mama rejected, and having Jonathan and Martha Kent thoughts.
Jon and Martha find the Kryptonian ship in their corn field, but when they open it the baby is not well. Heās traveled light years, and even at the fastest speeds, it was days or even weeks. What fluid was sustaining him has been gone for some time.
They work a farm. They know what a sick baby looks like.
They take the baby inside anyway. Itās far too late for anything to be open, so they break out the milk replacer for the livestock. The bottle they find has had a goat kid sucking on it, but they wash it good, because what other choice do they have?
The baby doesnāt take to the bottle well. He barely eats.
They both know a lack of appetite is a death knell.
āI canāt watch a baby die,ā Martha says. Sheās done it before. She and Jon struggled to have kids. The closest they got ā well. Itās a hard memory for them both.
āI know, love.ā Jonās a good old country boy. He grew up being told itās a manās job to take the burden. Heāll take it now. āGo to bed. Iāll stay with him.ā
Sure, they both know Martha wonāt sleep, but at least she wonāt have to see.
Jon takes the wee babe out onto the porch. He tries to poke more milk down him. Rubs his chest, bounces him, pushes the bottle past his lips, every damn thing he can do. The hours are long and hard, but he would never forgive himself if he didnāt try.
The baby continues to fade.
The eastern sky starts to lighten.
āIām sorry, little fellow,ā Jonathan whispers. Itās not long now. He can feel it in his bones. Heās held plenty of animals as they died. Heās waiting for that long last exhale. āSorry you came all this way and this is your welcome. Canāt even enjoy the sunrise.ā
He told himself he wouldnāt cry until the boy was gone. Wasnāt fair, that his last moments would be a man crying instead of comforting him, but Jon does his best to do both at the same time. He cradles the poor little thing even as his shoulders shake.
The sun breaks over the horizon, and light floods the porch. Jon closes his eyes against it and his tears.
Itās a hiccup that is the first sign something changed. Then the wiggling.
Jon nearly drops the baby in shock.
When he looks down, the little boy sure hasnāt died. Heās got this rosy little glow to his cheeks and his eyes are bright. Heās throwing those little hands around like heās trying to figure out how they work, but he seems to be trying to reach for the sun.
Jon just stares at him until the baby gets frustrated enough with his clumsy limbs that he opens his mouth to tell the world about it.
The babyās cry is so powerful Jon falls right out of his rocker. Itās a miracle he doesnāt launch the poor thing.
Only thing he can think to do with a screaming baby thatās about to take his eardrums out is shove that bottle right in that open mouth.
The little boy shuts right up and clings to the bottle for dear life as he drinks with a fury.
When Martha comes stumbling out wild-eyed in her jammies, Jonās sitting on the porch with a grin as bright as the dawn despite the fact his ears are still ringing.
āTurns out he has a good set of lungs.ā

World Heritage Post
WIP - Canon Scars/Breaks : Tim
UPDATED 02/13/2026
Again, only tracking between Post-Crisis to Flashpoint.
Will continue to update this, I just needed somewhere to properly keep track of the written notes. I've taken photos of each event as well, but as tumblr only allows for so many photos in a post I'll really only be doing collages for the more major injuries, and later.
This is just the issues I've made my way through so far.
Blue is broken bones
Pink is burns
Red slashes are slash/stab scars
Red stars are bullet scars
Robin I (1990-1991) #5 - broken left side lower front rib.
Robin II : Joker's Wild (1991) #4 - right back shoulder slash via Joker blade gauntlet.
Robin III : Cry of the Huntress (1992-1993) #2 - split right eyebrow.
Robin III : Cry of the Huntress (1992-1993) #3 - slash left cheek in-line with bottom of nose.
Teen Titans (2003-2011) #4 - Deathstroke smashes Tim in the right side lower lip with a large gun. Blood appears, as well as mass swelling, but no cut appears on the outside of his face despite blood drops appearing and disappearing on and off. Assumed to be a case of a tooth splitting the inside of the lip.
Teen Titans (2003-2011) #11 - Church of Blood member claws Tim across the left pec. Fortunately it's mostly damage to the suit and only the middle claw actually slices flesh.
Teen Titans (2003-2011) #24 - Luthor possessed Kon eye-beams Tim through a window, likely resulting in many minor cuts. Then headbutts Tim in the mouth with the back of his skull, splitting his upper right side of lip, then breaks Tim's right arm. (Tim actually cries enough with this one that the tears bubble up through the lens seams of the domino, and given it's not the norm for him it's safe to say it was because they made Kon attack him more than the actual pain)
Teen Titans (2003-2011) #29 - Jason breaks into Titans Tower. Kicks Tim through a door, which slices up his right lower and upper arm, as well as his left elbow. He then punches Tim in the lower nose/mouth area and it bleeds, but no crack noise sound effect bubble given like when they usually break someone's nose.
*** Have gone through Teen Titans 1-31, plus spotlights in entirety
Robin (1993-2009) #132 - Shrike sticks 3 shuriken in Tim's back, needs stitches from Cass for them.
Robin (1993-2009) #135 - Rising sun archer shoots an arrow through Tim's upper left forearm.
Robin (1993-2009) #139 - Junkyard dog crush injures Tim's right forearm, fractures possible but seem unlikely based on next book.
Robin (1993-2009) #162 - Tim is shot in the left shoulder, grazed on the right bicep. Both go through suit.
Robin (1993-2009) #164 - Micro shrinks down and jumps into Tim's right ear and bursts his ear drum before vacating, blood starts gushing from his ear canal. Small cut to upper left cheek bone near eye, small cut to area where chin cleft would be.
Robin (1993-2009) #165 - Cheater slams modified defibrillator paddles against Tim's chest, one on each upper pec. Shock is such high voltage it burns right through his suit and burns his skin.
Robin (1993-2009) #166 - Cheater uses an automatic firearm to shoot a hail of bullets at Tim (30+ shots). At least 3 penetrate the suit, one mid left thigh, one right bicep, one left bicep.
Robin (1993-2009) #167 - Lockup slashes Tim across the left pec and sternum on a diagonal with a sword right through the suit. Tim is then high voltage electrocuted- his internal monologue states bluntly that the suit's insulation is the only reason he's still alive, and the pain is so intense he's not sure if that's good or bad. It fries his suit to the point his gloves melt and smoke is coming off his body. He's bleeding from all of his nailbeds after and his fingertips are all burnt.
Robin (1993-2009) #168 - Damian shoots him in the face with the grapnel, slices cheek bone area.
Nightwing (1996-2009) #138 - slice top left shoulder LoA ninja katana.
Batman (1940-2011) #657. Damian punches Tim in the face and knocks him off the dinosaur, then throws him through Jason's Case. Bleeds from cuts, bleeds from nose, but no crack? Punctures from the spikes on Damian's knuckles. Appears to be heavy bleeding, which Tim slurs he managed to stop. Requires intricate repair that Alfred says he needs Bruce's help for, and a blood transfusion. Upper right arm bandaged heavily afterwards. Assume glass punctured brachial artery? Comic does not elaborate. Broken left wrist.
Batman (1940-2011) #665 - right arm dislocated by Bruce's rescue.
Robin (1993-2009) #177 - Jason shoots at Dublin, Tim shields him. Takes a whopping 11 shots to the back at far range, that go through the cape and the first layer of suit, but not all the way through. Mass bruising, fractures very likely.
Robin (1993-2009) #181 - Armstrong blows up the warehouse, Tim suffers intense burns to the back of the head, neck, and ear edges. Everything appears to be fully healed a few weeks later with hair growth back, but medically speaking it's not possible for him to not have small bald bits throughout the hair in back, and he would have at the bare minimum discolored skin scarring after healing.
Robin (1993-2009) #183 - Lady Shiva breaks 3 of Tim's front left ribs.
Battle for the Cowl (2009) #2 - Jason slices Tim across the lower right scapula and back of the neck. He then slashes Tim 3 times across the forehead, and across the mid point of the bridge of his nose through the cowl so they are shallow and thin. He splits Tim's lower lip open slightly off center to the left. Then he stabs him through the sternum with the rusted batarang (position/location of the stab stupidly changes in every single panel, sigh)
Red Robin (2009-2011) #1 - Slices right hand, palm, after breaking vase at the manor. Later gets the top and palm of the same hand greatly burned in battle.
Red Robin (2009-2011) #4 & #5 - Counsel of Spiders member stabs (not slashes) him through the gut with a long slightly curved blade. This is however through the gut and damages his spleen which is far higher under the ribs and towards the side, so it goes in deep, on angle. Ra's has his spleen removed and the rest repaired pit-side. Given the entry wound and where the blade tip ended up he likely had intensive internal damage to intestine/bowel and possible stomach for the blade to have made it to the spleen.
Red Robin (2009-2011) #7 - Counsel of Spiders member slashes him from behind in the left scapula.
Red Robin (2009-2011) #11 - Tim takes a shuriken in the front left shoulder.
Red Robin (2009-2011) #12 - Tim fights Ra's one-on-one. He gets kicked in the face, splitting his lower lip slightly off to the left (2nd time). Ra's smashed him in the left cheek bone with the butt of his sword hilt and Tim confirms on panel it's fractured. Slashed with the sword across center and left side a few inches beneath his pecs/sternum. Ra's dislocates his shoulder with a precision strike from behind. When Tim wakes up in the medbay of the cave he's shown to have several other slash wounds, either from Ra's sword or the defenestration glass.
Red Robin (2009-2011) #20 - Tim fights Catman, receives several slashes across his body, mostly arms and legs but also torso.
