Uwell Nunchaku
You know that feeling when you go out and you have to carry that large mod along with you but you’re not really the bag carrying kinda guy?
Well I was sick of always having to walk around pockets full with my big mod ( Smok Alien) and some juices, there’s just not enough room in my jeans to take it all with me comfortably! It’s all fine sitting behind your desk all day and vaping on that big mod but when you’re out and about you need something more portable that would still last for the entire night.
So I decided to look for some pen-style mod and believe me it’s quite hard to find! That is if you’re searching for a device that has support for interchangeable tanks, offers variable wattage or temp control and is regulated. And since I just bought the Zeus tank from Geekvape I really wanted a mod that I could use it with.
After looking around the internet and talking to some contacts at my local vape stores I found the Nunckaku from a little unknown (for me at least!) company called Uwell. I seemed to be a relatively new device at the time because it was simply not available in any vape store (let alone they’d know about it!).
Luckily there’s this little site called Amazon and a few days later I held the perfect solution to my third world problem in my hands. I bought the kit version that comes with it’s own tank because why not, I could always use another tank :-).
After using it for a couple of months I can only conclude that this is one great device. It has all the features I need from a mod (variable wattage, temp control and more) and sits comfortable in my hand and pocket!
It’s quite a heavy device but that’s because it’s just one big piece of aluminum CNC’d to hold all the necessary components. The build quality however it top notch. It’s sturdy, solid and feels great when holding it.
The tank that ships with the kit is pretty nice too. Nice build quality and the coils deliver a decent cloud production. The coils are also easily replaceable because they are not the screw-in type like any other tank. The only downside of the default tank is that I’m experiencing quite a lot of leakage. Maybe it’s just me and I should check or replace the o-rings but it’s has definitifely been an issue.
So all in all, a great mod if you’re looking for portability. The mod is limited to 80W but that’s imho more than enough for most users. Ramp-up is also good. Not a straight hit and build-up is not too long.
