I'm trying out rping a character from the game and Punch-Up was one of my favorites. I also felt like we could use another one here.

"So," Blazer says, leaning against the doorway to the rec room, a couple of boxes on the floor next to her and presumably more waiting in the rec room, "Ready?"

Aw shoot. I also totally forgot too. We absolutely did this Friday.

Punch-Up has been waiting in the rec room ever since shift ended. He hits the punching bag that he has been working and holds both arms up in the air like it's wrestling.

"Fuck yeah! I'm ready!" And he punches the air twice, reloading his arms.

Then he drops the act. "Here, let me help." And he walks over and helps move boxes over to the table with two chairs set up.

She nods and grabs a couple boxes herself, setting them down near the rest and sitting down at the table. She's clearly not sure how to even start this whole contest, she hasn't exactly done anything like this before in her life.

"...good luck, then?" Her tone sounds unsure, like she's trying to decide whether that's an appropriate thing to say right now as she reaches for a bottle from one of the boxes.

"Aye good luck to you," Punch Up says and holds out a hand to shake. "May the best drinker win."

He grabs a bottle and pops the battle cap off the edge of the table. "Whoever, drinks the most bottles without passin' out wins, yeah?"

She nods and shakes his hand, "Agreed."

She usually likes to nurse her drinks, but she supposes she can't exactly do that in this situation. She pops the cap off of her bottle with a flick of her thumb and raises the bottle a little. "Sounds good." She then begins to absolutely chug.

Punch-up also loves to enjoy his drinks. The typical Suber Beer is a lighter beer than the Guinness is used to which should make this easier to drink quickly. Watching Blazer chug her drink, Punch-Up feels the pressure mount and that his pride on the line.

The minutes pass with the occasional comments from the peanut gallery of other SDN employees wanting to watch. Punch up pops the cap of his sixth drink, raises it up to his lips and when he drinks it, he immediately starts coughing, uncontrollably, and a part of the drink sprays in the air.

"Shit, wrong pipe," and he continues coughing until he settles.

Blazer seems to be keeping up quite well, after all this is the person who drinks straight alcohol right from the bottle and doesn't get that drunk, it's to be expected.

She's finishing up her sixth drink when she pauses briefly, seeing Punch Up start to cough, a small gasp escaping her as she sets her, nearly empty, bottle down and leans over, "Are you alri-" She freezes completely for a second when a small bit of his drink gets in her mouth.

Noticing that he seems to be okay, she sits back down and finishes her bottle before trying to make light of the situation, "Should I count that as cheating?"

"Oi, I ain't no cheater," he says a little too loudly and with the hint of slurred speech. He takes a second and looks at the beer with a third of its contents missing. He then looks at the spray of drink on the table and tiny droplets on Blazer. He then sets the half empty bottle aside at the corner of the table and pops a new one. He respects the game too much to let the score be inaccurate as to how much he drank.

He looks back at the mess he made and then at Blazer. "Sorry 'bout that."

"I know, I was trying to... nevermind." Hey, this is a contest, right? Being funny isn't one of the things that she should be doing right now. She wipes her face with her arm before grabbing another bottle, looking better than Punch Up. Normal people would probably be very drunk right now, hell as Mandy she can barely drink one beer. She notices Punch Up slurring his words, making a mental note of it. It looks like she might just win this... though she can't get cocky now. And even then, this is just for fun, so she's not really worried.

"It's fine, don't worry about it." She says, opening her seventh bottle and raising it in a little toast motion before resuming drinking.

Punch-Up smiles. It feels like he was off the hook for his embarrassing mistake. He eyes the room to see the Z-team snickering. He was never gonna hear the end of that.

He looks back at Blazer, now a drink ahead of him. Or was it two, now? Shit, he was falling behind. Was she even feeling anything?

She's sitting over there like she's drinking fuckin' tea, he thinks to himself.

Punch-Up takes stock of himself. He has a nice buzz going on. If this was drinking with his pals, then this would be a great start to the night. He got the sense that he was starting to fall behind. He resumed chugging, doing his best to lock in.

Time passes and empty bottles continue to pile up.

Blazer might have discarded that mishap, but yeah, Z-team definitely won't let Punch Up live this down. They probably will make even more fun of him if he loses, which is why she considers letting him win for a brief moment before deciding against it, figuring that she'd never hear the end of it from Punch Up if she did that.

By drink eighteen, she was starting to feel something. Minimally, but it definitely was there. She wasn't sure how many Punch Up's had by that time, she was barely able to keep track of her own drinks. She knew that if this goes on longer, she'll start going downhill, but it did look like her... opponent?? Drinking partner?? Whatever you want to call it, wasn't doing too well. Maybe they won't have to drag her out of here if she's lucky...

Punch-up knew that he will feeling it. His words? Slurred. His vision? Blurry. His thoughts? Incoherent. But his will? As solid as iron. The blood of his Irish ancestors flows through his veins and seemed to carry Punch-up just a little bit further. Like some mystical force, it kept Punch-Up, sitting in his seat and moving his arm, carrying his drink to his mouth like an robot who runs on beer. Blazer could probably see his eyes lose focus every once in a while, like Punch-up momentarily forgets that this was a competition. But then his eyes come back and he locks in.

Everyone in that room learned something new about Punch-up which is that when he gets so incredibly wasted, that he will lightly hum what must be an old drinking songs. Quite possibly something from his past when he lived in Galway. Low muffled hums and light tapping of his fingers on the table. Like an ancient calling to keep drinking.

But odds are this second wind won't last long.

It's honestly kind of impressive that he could keep up with her for this long, usually people get to eight drinks? Maybe ten, sometimes. Not that she wasn't expecting something like that from the man who claims to be able to out-drink her, but still. This is the first time someone goes on for more than that.

She tries not to think about the song and the way he seems to be catching up to her again, she thought it was going to be smooth sailing from here but it seems the universe has a different idea. She decides to focus on her drinks instead, grabbing bottle after bottle to try and distract herself from the singing.

Punch-up makes it a dozen more drinks. The humming being a nice little mantra to carry him further but the more he drinks and the drunker he gets, the more the songs become incoherent and fades. His eyes narrow and he takes a long look at Blazer, his head swaying like crazy. Because of his own head movement, Blazer is swimming in his vision. He suddenly shouts, "Aye! She's wobblin'! I think she's done for!" Punch-up stumbles and stands up from his seat and raises his arms in the air like he won the heavyweight boxing championship.

"It's only a matter of time, now!" He confidently proclaims before the ungodly amount of alcohol that he has consumed takes over. His arms go limp and gravity takes over and he collapses on the floor with the loudest thump. Any worry that may have been felt for Punch-up is dispelled when he starts loudly snoring. With a thick skull like his, he is probably fine.

She was not expecting him to go on for this much. She thought he was going to last five, maybe six more drinks, but he manages to surprise her once more with how persistent he is. She starts to actually wonder if this was a good idea to begin with. It certainly isn't healthy, and she doesn't want to think about the hangover they're both going to get the next day. She's just glad she won't have to come into work.

She shakes her head slightly when Punch Up starts talking about her swaying, because she's not.. oh, he must be very drunk. A small part of her is glad that it looks like it's going to come to an end soon, she's not sure she could live with the fact she entertained someone to drink themself to the point of passing out- she knows they're heroes and are stronger in every regard than regular people but still! Drinking so much can be dangerous.

She stands up abruptly when she sees Punch Up hit the ground, relaxing a bit when she hears the snoring. Still, she picks the sleeping Irishman up and carries him out of the rec room. She looks at Coupé, "...can you get him home safely?" And hands him over to the assassin seeing her nod. She goes back in to clean up the bottles. This was one hell of an evening, but it's time for her to go home and sleep as well. She nods to the Z-team before walking out of the SDN building and thanking God for only being tipsy as she flies back to her house.

He then looks at the spray of drink on the table and tiny droplets on Blazer. He then sets the half empty bottle aside at the corner of the table and pops a new one. He respects the game too much to let the score be inaccurate as to how much he drank.

He looks back at the mess he made and then at Blazer. "Sorry 'bout that."

"I know, I was trying to... nevermind." Hey, this is a contest, right? Being funny isn't one of the things that she should be doing right now. She wipes her face with her arm before grabbing another bottle, looking better than Punch Up. Normal people would probably be very drunk right now, hell as Mandy she can barely drink one beer. She notices Punch Up slurring his words, making a mental note of it. It looks like she might just win this... though she can't get cocky now. And even then, this is just for fun, so she's not really worried.

"It's fine, don't worry about it." She says, opening her seventh bottle and raising it in a little toast motion before resuming drinking.

Punch-Up smiles. It feels like he was off the hook for his embarrassing mistake. He eyes the room to see the Z-team snickering. He was never gonna hear the end of that.

He looks back at Blazer, now a drink ahead of him. Or was it two, now? Shit, he was falling behind. Was she even feeling anything?

She's sitting over there like she's drinking fuckin' tea, he thinks to himself.

Punch-Up takes stock of himself. He has a nice buzz going on. If this was drinking with his pals, then this would be a great start to the night. He got the sense that he was starting to fall behind. He resumed chugging, doing his best to lock in.

Time passes and empty bottles continue to pile up.

Punch-Up has been waiting in the rec room ever since shift ended. He hits the punching bag that he has been working and holds both arms up in the air like it's wrestling.

"Fuck yeah! I'm ready!" And he punches the air twice, reloading his arms.

Then he drops the act. "Here, let me help." And he walks over and helps move boxes over to the table with two chairs set up.

She nods and grabs a couple boxes herself, setting them down near the rest and sitting down at the table. She's clearly not sure how to even start this whole contest, she hasn't exactly done anything like this before in her life.

"...good luck, then?" Her tone sounds unsure, like she's trying to decide whether that's an appropriate thing to say right now as she reaches for a bottle from one of the boxes.

"Aye good luck to you," Punch Up says and holds out a hand to shake. "May the best drinker win."

He grabs a bottle and pops the battle cap off the edge of the table. "Whoever, drinks the most bottles without passin' out wins, yeah?"

She nods and shakes his hand, "Agreed."

She usually likes to nurse her drinks, but she supposes she can't exactly do that in this situation. She pops the cap off of her bottle with a flick of her thumb and raises the bottle a little. "Sounds good." She then begins to absolutely chug.

Punch-up also loves to enjoy his drinks. The typical Suber Beer is a lighter beer than the Guinness is used to which should make this easier to drink quickly. Watching Blazer chug her drink, Punch-Up feels the pressure mount and that his pride on the line.

The minutes pass with the occasional comments from the peanut gallery of other SDN employees wanting to watch. Punch up pops the cap of his sixth drink, raises it up to his lips and when he drinks it, he immediately starts coughing, uncontrollably, and a part of the drink sprays in the air.

"Shit, wrong pipe," and he continues coughing until he settles.

Blazer seems to be keeping up quite well, after all this is the person who drinks straight alcohol right from the bottle and doesn't get that drunk, it's to be expected.

She's finishing up her sixth drink when she pauses briefly, seeing Punch Up start to cough, a small gasp escaping her as she sets her, nearly empty, bottle down and leans over, "Are you alri-" She freezes completely for a second when a small bit of his drink gets in her mouth.

Noticing that he seems to be okay, she sits back down and finishes her bottle before trying to make light of the situation, "Should I count that as cheating?"
