I propose a new drinking game
Every time Mustard disobeys, we all take a a shot.
Which biome should I buy?
This comes up every once in a while on forums. While some parts of the answer never change, recent updates have added more goodies to worlds.
All worlds: All worlds contain the possibility of a paint bunker, head bunkers, crystals, miner fossils, shell fossils, trilobite fossils, and onyx. The presence and quantity of these things vary.
Note: World exclusives may or may not be present in your purchase
Temperate: This is a good world for beginners with low survival. That’s not to say that you can’t get another world, but you’ll have to take precautions (or explore in slow stages). This world’s exclusives are fish fossils. Apart from Arctic worlds, it’s also the main world for finding anbaric mushrooms. This world also boasts trees on the surface, which make the lumberjack achievement easy. Weather danger: Acid rain
Arctic: This world’s main danger is freezing. You can prevent that by building fires and tapping them, or by upgrading your survival. Arctic worlds may contain many exclusive rares, including elder arctic mushrooms, diamonds, ice sculptures, mammoth fossils, and the Jackalope head. You can also find plenty of ice and snow here.
Desert: This world’s danger is in getting thirsty. For players with low survival, this means stocking up on jars full of water (simply craft empty jars, find a source of water, and place the jars in the water. Then mine them again). This world offers sand and beryllium ore (good for engineering).
Hell: Hell is interesting in the way that theoretically, low level players can mind continuously. But you’ll want loads of jerky. Hell has layers of bedrock that require bombs to blast through it. Hell also has infernal protectors over red chests. Don’t try to get to the chest, there’s a better way. Find all the machine parts and click on the expiator. Then dig a path to the surface, create ghosts by mining bloodstone ore or undertaking, and lead them to the expiator and click on the machine to deliver them. You’ll need around a dozen ghosts. This breaks the protectors and leaves the chests free for the taking. Other hell exclusives are bloodstone ore, elder infernal mushrooms, the old one fossils, fire salt, and large red crystals. Weather danger: Fire rain
Deep: You’ll need a high level mining skill to get to every nook and cranny here. Also avoid the maws spewing gas (purify these by collecting machine parts and clicking on the world machine). World exclusives here are orange crystals, large red crystals, large purple crystals, devil cigar mushrooms, elder apostate mushrooms, and shade mushrooms. Gather these mushrooms with care and distance so they don’t explode in your face.
Brain: A relatively new world type, the biggest danger here is brain mobs. You can stop these by linking up an inhibitor to an evoker using a collector on a steam pipe and plenty of brass pipe. World exclusives here are large red crystals, hunter heads, and brain tanks. These tanks can be mined and used as great decorations.
So maybe I’ve confused you with all this talk. In the end, items from any of these worlds can be bought from other players, or you could mine them in public worlds. So when you buy a world, think of the long term plan - do you want to build a creation in an arctic biome or a desert one? With enough resources, you might be able to transform one world type into another anyway - see Frosted Dunes for an example of an arctic world remodeled into a desert one.
Ahahahaha, I’ve confused you again, probably. If you’re really after a private set of resources, then I hope this post can help you out.
Chatot out
Well, hello there! This is ChatotTheParrot. As of five minutes ago, I became Everywhen’s helper in getting Deepworld content on the world wide web. Looking forward to working with ya’ll.
So for my first post, I decided to focus on the newest update. Fossils. We love them, but the same questions keep coming up over and over. Here is the latest gossip:
To mine fossils, you use a spade. Nothing else works. Also, the higher your agility level (and quality of spade!), the greater your chance to recover a fossil.
Now some people have been claiming of finding fossil they really can’t be (unless hax). Here’s the released fossils and where to find them:
Fish fossil: In temperate worlds
Shell fossil: In all worlds
Trilobite fossil: In all worlds
Miner fossil: In all worlds
Mammoth: In arctic worlds
Old one fossil: In hell worlds (yes, despite being released first in a desert biome)
Please note that T-rex and Pterodactyl fossils have not been officially released at the time of this post.
Chatot out (for now!)
Mhmm. Thats right. Don’t you mess with my Mustard. So, battle recap.
Mustard (13) vs Team Magma Grunt’s Poochyena (9). After getting a string of early sand attacks and disobediences, things looked grim. Especially after Poochyena pulled off two Howls.
But then, the miracle. We managed to land a leech seed and not a single other attack the entire battle. By virtue of outstalling, we conquered.
This is me btw.
We did it!!! Mustard beat her first opponent. A lv3 Seedot attacked on the way from Petalburg to Oldale. I feared a Bide OHKO, so I stacked growth to +6 SpA.
The second image is the astonishing amount of damage from +6 Absorb. Then alternating between Absorb and Growth as a stall, we managed to conquer Seedot and reach Lv2.
Also. I would like to add I have a HM Mew (that currently only knows explosion) in my party. It will only be used for HMs and should Mustard faint, I will soft reset. I am going to catch a Magikarp at first opportunity however so I can play games with Mustard in PokeAmie. The power of Love will prevail!
Meet Mustard, possibly the (competitively) worst sunkern ever conceived. Together, we shall conquer.
So it begins
Getting Ready
I’ll be getting to start this soon. I’ve finished Pokebanking the most of my Pokemon from my OR, and now am just waiting on trading my Competitive Pokemon (holding items) for safekeeping, and then resetting and getting my new best friend.
I’ll be uploading battle recordings and anecdotes along the way, as well as a little post at every milestone.
In the meantime, have a copy-paste of the about page.
When people ask what the worst Pokemon is, most people instantly think something along the lines of Magikarp, Metapod or Unown.
Another contender in this category is Sunkern.
Sunkern is an interesting Pokemon, in that it’s base stats all share the same value, 30. Unfortunately this leaves the poor Seed Pokemon with the lowest base stat total (BST) out of any Pokemon, with a grand total of 180. To compare, Magikarp sits happily with a BST of 200, and Mega Rayquaza and the Mega Mewtwos boast a total of 780.
As a challenge, I’ve decided to take on Pokemon Omega Ruby with a Sunkern. Not just any Sunkern, but a Jolly, all 0 IV, no egg move Sunkern. And only this Sunkern. The Jolly nature was chosen as a way to decrease Sunkern’s offensive stats, without providing any major benefit, because let’s face it, this thing moves at the same speed as a Slowbro or Snorlax.
This will be a solo run, using a traded Lv1 hatchling. The traded Pokemon will gain experience faster, but will also constantly be at danger of overlevelling and disobeying its poor trainer (me).
A new project of mine
Big empty spaces are great for starting over
Mannnn. I’d forgotten how hard it is to break into trading at entry level in deepworld.
Setting up a new shop on one of my Alt accounts in Grand Bazaar.
Kudos to anyone who works out what it is
What's your favourite biome?
I love the wild peaks and soothing snowfall of the arctic biome. The glistening, delicate blocks that can only exist in this winter wonderland, contrasted by the vividly verdant pine trees.
