SeaWorld workers discovered what appeared to be human remains on SeaWorld property on Friday, SeaWorld spokesman Brian Carter said.
"The remains were outside the perimeter fence but still on the property. Carter said the employees were doing work outside the fence when they discovered the remains."
I used to work with Brian Carter at the Memphis Zoo....wonder how he's handling all the backlash from Blackfish since he's Sea World San Antonio's PR guy....

I apologize you have a lovely blog but as a scientist I felt obligated to inform you that body's were not meant to deal with the illnesses that are around today because of improvement in sanitation and medicine that has strengthened immune systems. The evolution of the human immune system has brought about the evolution of bacteria and disease in a positive feedback loop of sorts. If you stop vaccinating people memory cells will not exist in them and the bacteria will mass kill .
Thats my point. Our bodies are meant to deal with this crap, but we’ve changed this crap, so its a new kind of crap.
We brought these new diseases into the world, all of these things are our fault.
I dont really know if its a good or bad thing, and maybe its both, but we have severely altered nature, the ecosystems, and ourselves. Basically every thing out there is a result of us, because theyve had to adapt to having us in the picture.
I dont want to wear flower crowns or anything, but I seriously think we would be better off if we had let nature take over instead of us, and its waaayyyy past time to pay the piper.
ALL of the human race.
And I forgot to add, thank you for the compliment and challenge of thought. I actually got to enjoy reading a thought process instead of ‘ur stupid/wrong lol’
you’re still wrong. and dangerously so.
let me tell you a story. have you heard of swine flu? you know, that thing that shut down schools and caused mass panic? yeah, that swine flu. do you know why it’s so dangerous? because some people’s immune systems went into overdrive trying to get it out.
there’s something called a cytokine cascade where basically your body freaks out, and gets so stuck freaking out that you die.
it’s not that swine flu is any worse than normal flu. quite the opposite, in fact. it’s because it’s weaker than normal flu that makes it more likely to trigger a reaction like these cytokine cascades, especially in people who are young, fit, and healthy. people think this is why the spanish flu epidemic of 1918 was so bad. you know, the flu epidemic that KILLED MORE PEOPLE THAN THE WAR IT JUST FOLLOWED. that one.
THERE IS NOTHING UNNATURAL ABOUT VACCINES. VACCINES ACTUALLY RELY ON NATURAL PROCESSES.
they are about as unnatural as, oh, wearing a shirt. you have to get used to wearing a shirt, but it means that you get protection from the cold, the wet, and even from sunburn.
what vaccines do is work with our immune system. they bank on natural reactions. what a vaccine does is show our immune system a dead version of whatever we are vaccinating against. imagine your immune system as a police force. without training, they may not fire their guns correctly; they might get panicked and crash their cars and shoot innocent bystanders. a vaccine is like someone who comes in and shows them how to shoot a particular target. it introduces things slowly to your immune system so that when your immune system sees it “for real”, it IS able to fight it off naturally - without freaking out too much and killing you, OR letting the bad guy get a foothold in your body.
we did not bring these new diseases into the world. most of them are deeply ancient.
vaccination is something we’ve been doing naturally for a long time, too. remember when you had chicken pox? you probably had it when you were little, right? and that’s a good thing, because when you’re so young, it’s a lot easier on the body than it is when you are older. if you end up with chicken pox at say age 21 instead of age 2, you will very likely end up in the hospital. in essence you were ‘vaccinating’ yourself by getting the chicken pox when you were younger. you were showing your body’s policemen what to shoot for, and what to not panic too bad about as they fight.
if you read about the history of vaccination, you’ll see how it grew out of an observation that milkmaids who grew up around cows - and had a light case of something called cow pox - grew up then to not come down with a very severe case of cow pox later. it’s like my example with chicken pox earlier. because they had a little, easy case of cow pox when they were little, their immune systems knew how to deal with it if cow pox wanted to infect them again later. and since their immune systems were trained to deal with it, they were able to be healthy.
again, these diseases aren’t something we’ve invented. why do you think it’s MILKMAIDS who were at risk for getting COW pox when they were little? if you answered “because they worked around cows” - ding ding ding, you are correct!
finally, let me point out the most important thing.
THIS ISN’T A PERSONAL CHOICE.
IT IS INSTEAD SOMETHING WE MUST DO TO HELP PROTECT OTHERS.
this is why vaccines are an essential and non-optional part of society. if you want to drive a car, you need a license, right? otherwise you are putting other people on that road at risk because you don’t know what you are doing. the vaccines we regularly get are sort of like that, but for interacting with others.
there are people out there whose immune systems don’t work properly. this means they are much, much more at risk from things our immune systems have no trouble with.
if your immune system, say, doesn’t know how to deal with whooping cough because it’s never been trained by the vaccine, you have a better chance of not kicking it out immediately. your immune system has to take the time to learn about it before killing it since it didn’t have any earlier instruction. this can lead to you getting sick, but even if you don’t, it definitely leads to you passing it along to others.
whooping cough, by the way, is making a comeback, and it’s no joke. babies die from it. even adults who get through it ‘just fine’ find themselves coughing for most of a year afterwards. not polite little coughs, either. the kind of coughs where breaking one of your own ribs is an incredibly common side effect.
and honestly?
whooping cough is the “kindest” of all the things we vaccinate against.
WE DON’T VACCINATE AGAINST THINGS PEOPLE HANDLE NORMALLY.
WE VACCINATE AGAINST THINGS THAT KILL.
WE VACCINATE AGAINST THINGS THAT CRIPPLE.
WE VACCINATE AGAINST THINGS THAT MAIM.
WE VACCINATE AGAINST THE WORST OF THE WORST.
BOTH BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT TO GET SICK OURSELVES, AND BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT TO BE THE ONE PASSING IT ON TO OTHERS.
i hope that clears some things up.
please do some reading about the effects on the world of things like the flu epidemic of 1918, or about how bad polio was before a vaccine was developed, or about how whooping cough is increasingly killing babies because some people refuse to get themselves vaccinated.
please remember that when the polio vaccine came out, people cried because it meant they would no longer have to worry about their child getting sick and spending their entire lives in an iron lung.
please remember that people are pushing to eradicate polio by vaccine from the entire world because it is that bad, and so are other things we vaccinate against.
if at the end of that you want to tell me to my face that vaccines are still “unnatural” - if at the end of that you still want to advocate the senseless deaths of millions - if at the end of that you still are completely fine with contributing to such mass anguish and agony -
if you want to say that at the end of this, you should take a good look at yourself in the mirror, and then kindly go eat some very natural hemlock.
but i’m hoping instead you see that vaccines ARE natural, and use natural pathways to help people, and should be embraced because the lack of them actively hurts others.
Ho snap.
OoC: Also, vaccines are not a cause for Autism.
I repeat, Autism is not caused by vaccines.
I have an Autistic brother. We are two of six children. All six of us have pretty much received the same vaccine shots. And yet only one of us has developed Autism. We share the same genetic pool, environment, and treatments, yet only one of us is Autistic.
In addition, my brother was diagnosed with Autism before he received the majority of his shots. He was about three when it manifested—that’s around the time it usually does.
We don’t know what causes Autism yet. Doctors and scientists continue to search for a cause and cure. They’ve checked vaccines. We still don’t know what causes it or how to prevent it.
Just because there’s some graph that shows a coincidental correlation between vaccines and Autism does not mean that it’s actually related. Believe me, people had that thought long before anyone on this site ever did and have tested for it. Still nada.
Get vaccines. Don’t let these diseases that used to be ‘dead’ come back into circulation!

I was just ranting about this earlier.
Black and White
My titles are so creative, I know. I’m messing around editing on this new program I’ve been using, and the results are pleasant enough. Not everyone likes the black and white images, but oh well. I think this girl is stunning no matter what.

Life Update
Its been more than 8 weeks since I last posted!
In that time I became the mother of a beautiful little girl. She was born on August 28 at 7:25 pm and weighed 6lbs 15oz.
What a eventful day that was. I went into labor on the 27th around 6 pm but didn't go to the hospital until midnight. Dilated and contracting they sent me home around 2 AM and told me to try to get some sleep...why they would send someone home whilst in active labor I have no idea. Needless to say we were back at the hospital just a few hours later and we were ready to roll. After the epidural and drugs things slowed down and I ended up having a C-section that evening. Good thing because I would have been pushing for hours- little girl had her head thrown back and got herself 'stuck'.
I'm actually glad I didn't have her vaginally because recovery was just a breeze with the c-section.
Life has just been such a joy since she made her arrival. She started sleeping through the night at 2 weeks old and that is just amazing. She's a happy, healthy baby and there is nothing else more I can ask for. I love this little girl with all my heart.
Baby things
I'm SO having this child tomorrow!....well, I wish. I keep saying shell come on the 12th but my mom keeps saying the 21st. Come on baby Aria! She needs to drop! And, I'm pretty sure as soon as I have her ill be back to my pre pregnancy weight because I've only gained 15 lbs so far and have pretty much been the same weight for the last two months. That would be nice considering the in laws have already scheduled full family photos for when sis in law's fiancé will be in town for leave. I'm so excited and ready to meet this little girl!
But why do I have to get out?
36 weeks. Come on baby girl! 🎀
