Well let me tell you how much I love Cassandra..... I made a blog just for her! Like my Ashley William's blog this is a place for me to post about this amazing character and I understand that not all not Cassandra. That's okay, but please do not start filling this up with reblogs of hate and sending it to me in a message. We all have our favorite characters and like with any Bioeware game we all have more than one. I love that Cass is a bit brass at times and think's that if she has the solution she will try to fix the problem. She is one to apologize or admit she was in the wrong if the way she approached the problem was wrong. She is a strong willed woman, with bad ass scars, a romantic heart, and has not lost her faith in a world gone mad. I think that Cass is someone I look up to her even though she's a video game character. She's strong and can handle herself with in a fight. A bit emotional at times and flawed, that's what makes her so great! Warning: All ships are accepted here so you have been warned. This Blog is run by Tonks32. I've rolled my eyes at Cassandra's romance before because I've always wanted to romance her as a woman but the whole sappy poetry and roses never felt right for her character.

But I'm remembering that her strength comes from a desire for vengeance for her brothers death and she trained as a seeker at a really young age. Yes she's tough and strong and sometimes callous, but she deserves to be soft and enjoy a candlelight romance.

I kind of wish we saw a little more of that in her.

Happy Dragon Age Day

A bit late, but Happy Dragon Age Day!

Sharing a snippet of my Dragon Age Inquisition fic. Still unedited, but this will probably make it in chapter 4, which has been a pain to write.

To the edge of your sky

He let the newfound comfort that he felt in her presence take over. “What about the rebel mages, Cassandra? Who will protect them?” He asked, meeting her gaze head on.

Cassandra looked at the fire. It was a long moment before she said anything. He had spent enough time with her so far to recognize that when she hesitated to reply, she was weighing the options, before offering righteous but fair counsel to him.

“We need to convince them that the Inquisition is safer. But we cannot do it now. We must return to Haven and discuss this with Leliana, Josephine and Cullen.”

He had promised himself when he woke up in Haven after closing the first rift that he would seek justice for the mages, and that he would protect them. But he could not do it on his own. He needed help. He needed the Inquisition. She was right, but he was desperate to act. And she needed to know that.

His shoulders sagged, and he exhaled loudly, tilting his head back to stare at the night sky while gripping his hands together.

“I cannot abandon my fellow mages to this alliance with the Tevinter Imperium. It is going to be worse than the Circles. They have been fighting for their rights and their freedom for so long. They have suffered and died. They want this war to end.”

My wife and I have a fun(?) little AU which came from me going "huh, we couldn't really do a Roleswap AU for our canon Inquisitor & Rook, because my Rook would've been an actual child"

Anyway, then we were like... well, what would happen if the Herald of Andraste was a kid? How much harder would it be for the Inquisition to not look like an absolutely insane cult?? Does anyone in this organisation know the first thing about childcare???

So, this is Lorant, aged 11. They were part of the mage delegation along with a couple more of the most innocent and harmless looking apprentices they could find to be a visual reminder that Hey, We Mages Would Love To Not Be Murdered We Have So Many Kids In Our Midst. They obviously wandered off (this child has ADHD) and, well. The rest is history.

Cassandra was fully sure this was just a small adult elf until she heard the voice and got hit with the 🥺 face. Congrats, Cassandra, you traumatized a child (more)! Poor little guy.
