ever since Jacob said that the show is formatted through memories I can’t help but notice that structure even more significantly. The hockey games are a blur, we don’t see them, because in Hollanov’s memory, the only thing that stands out is each other. It’s exactly how memory works, especially when you love someone- the reality of it blurs over time, but they remain vivid. You fixate on certain details, touches, kisses. (One of my favourite scenes in the whole show is Shane talking to Rose and remembering his encounters with Ilya)

I honestly think this conscious decision throughout is what makes the time jumps completely seamless, because we’re still grounded in the emotional reality of these memories.

It’s what I personally like to call ‘trim the fat’ writing, which so many shows fail to do, with bloated scripts and way too much exposition and audience handholding. JT said ‘fuck that’ and I respect it heavy

And you know what?? Stiles wasn’t dubbed pack mom because he’s uwu feminine, or meek sweetie pie. The title being given to him was not rooted in some homophobia/misogyny combo. It is because he takes on a very obvious emotional load for all his friends, it’s because he shows a level of caring that he doesn’t often receive in return.

Stiles is an interesting character because he comes off as a rowdy teenage boy, but shows a level of responsibility and understanding that is abnormal. The way he obviously obsesses over his father’s health after his mother’s death AND even after experiencing alleged abuse from his father. What he’s been through from before TW starts to the end, shows he’s complex and empathetic in a way that’s relatable to viewers. His lack of physical power also means, with his desire to protect his friends, that he has to look out for them in other ways, including emotionally.

It’s not like Stiles (or the mothering character type in general) is flawless either, he’s interesting because he’s multidimensional. One of those dimensions shows a very maternal/paternal person and I love that side of him.

Love that Shane and Ilya are so insane for each other that it basically invokes the Forced Proximity trope from 500 miles away. Being in the same conference is too close for these fools. Being the same LEAGUE. What do you mean I have to see that guy once every six weeks and somehow keep my cool. What do you MEAN there's only a single international border separating us. How am I supposed to keep my emotional walls up when that guy sometimes occasionally comes within the general metropolitan area of my person. How can I fall asleep at night knowing that we're under the same constellations. This continent isn't big enough for the two of us. We're gonna have to kiss about it.

He puts it under his paws and shows what football was missing in the Gasometro (field’s name). The [team]’s men want to grab him, but they cant! The Friend has his eyes on the ball. He runs to find it again. Yes! He bites! He kneads! He wants it close! He gets lost, he’s so happy! Castro (player) wants to kick his Corner but he can’t. He tells the pup “enough, enough, go over there”… however *commentator laughs*, there’s the pup! When he puts it on the floor, [the dog] goes again for the ball. And of course, as any skilled man, wants it all for himself. A bit of an over-eater, this pup. And he clearly has shown conditions / talent. [The team] found the way to the goal thanks to the Pichicho’s (little dog) essential input…. who, of course, as any protagonist had his place at [the tv show].“
