19, 29, 33.
19. What were your characterâs deepest disillusions? In life? What are they now?
There are two rules of the world, seemingly contradictory, but unavoidable in their apparent truth after a couple centuries of existence: nothing lasts for long, but nothing really changes. Whenever Jill takes a job guiding someone on a long journey, he expects that any stop at places heâs been to before will find all the same problems the place had when he last visited, and none of the same people. Itâs hard sometimes! He just tries to stay cheerful about it, though. The absence of the old people he knew can also just mean that there are new people to meet, after all.
29. What is your characterâs weaknesses? Hubris? Pride? Controlling?
A sort of dilettantism, a failure to engage deeply with a situation, inspired by the âtruthsâ of the preceding question. A certain apparent naivete, and a willingness to go happily along with people. A tendency toward being nonjudgmental to a problematic point (I mean, some things you really should be judgey about, you know?) -- âso open-minded your brain falls outâ is a risk he kind of runs :V
33. Do they drink? Take drugs? What about their health?
Yes, yes, and âwhat do you expect when a ghoulâ. He likes mentats and jet and smoking hubflowers and the stash box which is his glass eye might contain an âemergencyâ tab of blotter acid.
Character solidifying!

I make really good oatmeal cookies, but I can make sugar cookies with nuts for you! Did you want me to teach you how to bake? I always have time!
I would be honored to finally learn the secrets of the oven-y arts from you. Itâd be super cool if you could show me how you make your oatmeal cookies! And Iâm between jobs right now, so Iâm pretty much made of time. Iâm nothing but time right now. Iâm eternity in a hoodie.

Yes! I love to bake! What kind of cookies are your favorite?
Thatâs great! I never really got around to learning to bake yet, but hey, thereâs always time, right? My favorite favorite is sugar cookies with nuts in âem, but oatmeal cookies are really good too, and ooh, oatmeal raisin, those are also great. ... I love every cookie.Â

That would be amazing! Do you do a lot of baking?

COOKIES! I know it makes me sound like a five-year-old but I LOVE COOKIES. I have yet to find a kind of cookie I donât like. (Walnut cookies are the best, though, in my opinion,.) If I could live off of nothing but cookies I totally would, but thatâs actually super impractical because I donât think youâd get enough protein plus sugar is super expensive these days.
