◣♚◢ “You let the roses die? Tut-tut.
I expected more from the gardener, however difficult these flowers are to cultivate.”
In attempts of becoming independent getting herself a job became of great need, something none of her friends helped her obtain. When the opportunity to become a gardener in a great mansion appeared, Shiemi lost no time giving it a second thought. Many days went by, everything seemengly going smoothly until a plague appeared to exterminate beautiful roses causing the girl tremendous aches of heart.
Rosy cheeks and misty eyed, young tamer mourned over the great loss of perfect flowers unable to come up with reasoning for the cause of loss. Situation becoming harder at the sight of the owner of them show up with much disdain towards her work.
‘It wasn’t of my intention, please forgive me. Much to my heavy heart they have died, my cares were great, I hold dear love for them. There just have to be a cause for this to happen.’
Queens Izumo Kamiki, Shiemi Moriyama, Shura Kirigakure
Humble and quite so amiable, the little dame was by all means a type of individual the king of knights hadn’t had the pleasure in having a recontre with in quite a while. More than often, individuals of her age were rather reprehensible and all-around a pain in the arse… But then again, as an anachronism herself, Saber could not possibly be a judge of such a notion— after all, she was from a different time and age and the youth of today were very much different than those of her time and age.
She could only commend the young girl for her civilities, and offered a light smile her way.
“But of course. I do quite understand what you speak of, after all, nature lives and breathes just as we do. I still verily feel quite saddened, whether or not it was your garden.” Saber had been close to nature once before in her life— if she had not been, no doubt the faes of old would not have proffered unto her the wisdom she required as a king…
Her suggestion came as a surprise to the King of Knights who blinked not twice, but thrice. It came out of nowhere, but she was more than willing to accompany her in doing so if that is what she willed. “I would not mind at all. I would love learn to care for these plants if you would have me.” Moving away from the flower bed just slightly, she lowered herself to greet the neglected flowers. “I am known as Saber— it is a pleasure to work with you.”
A warm sensation taking over tightened chest. Despite not ever having heard a name like hers, the gentleness in the voice of the woman easing the mood of the tamer. Digits curled around small shovel as it proceeded to dig the soil underneath the shadow of Shiemi.
‘My name is Moriyama Shiemi, I’m a student though, but I really have always loved nature and taken care of my grandmother’s garden ince I was a child.’
That being said, with dirt covering her hands she proceeds to plant a small orchid.
‘She used to tell me that, for plants and flowers to be happy and strong you must speak to them, hum or sing even, they have feelings too.’
A brief pause follows before she solves to look up with an inviting smile towards the blonde elder. Hoping to the bottom of herself to not seem like a strange teenager with crazy ideas, that wasn’t the intention at all.
‘Would you like to plant these orchids with me here? You could give them names too!’

❛ ah —— did you need something, shiemi-san? ❜
Ah, there really isn't a way to say something like this without sounding like a whiny needy girl is it? Shiemi fidgets a little before building up the courage to speak out this---sensation of loneliness that saddened her for the past four days.
'Yuki-chan, I just... well, I-- felt lonely because---nobody remembered my birthday...and I was wondering if you could spend time with me...'
Oh boy, how weak was that, very. He's a busy person too! She feel's so bad for this entire thing.
↪ Shiemi Moriyama + cute faces
;—≼☽≽ The mercenary expected that reaction, to be perfectly honest. He had extended his hand mainly to make an attempt at picking Shiemi’s spirit up, because hand-holding was like hugging, it can comfort a person, but he wasn’t upset at her silent ‘no,’ instead returning her smile with a small one of his own. His hand returned to its proper location, answering her comment by saying, “That certainly is true. I will only call it the best if it offers a wide array of treats as well, however.” That did tend to be the case, since nothing went well with tea other than a slice of cake.
He’d more than likely love it anyway. “Even if they didn’t have much, I’d still enjoy it anyway,” he said, voicing his thoughts. Of course, Inigo had to continue with that with: “Since I’ll be spending this time with such a lovely lass.” Yep, habits died hard. Still, Inigo accepts her silent response, beginning to take the lead with Shiemi at his side, going at a leisurely pace.
“That’s fine,” Inigo replies, keeping his steps in time, “If you have a curfew, we can return to your home before you would ever have to worry about it getting late in the first place.” It shouldn’t be that difficult to circle around so they get some sight seeing in, right? Then again, he’s not very aware of this place…
At the silence after his reply, Inigo mulled over what else he could ask, but Shiemi thankfully filled that with a question of her own. “Ah, it’s a funny story actually, Moriyama.” It started when he was young, barely able to even talk to another person who wasn’t his family, and barely beginning to converse with girls. Flowers can be a gift, to start a conversation, and his mother told him, ‘every girl is like a flower, they each bloom in their own ways, but that does not mean that they’re weak. No, they have thorns that keep them from others, meaning that they are to be plucked carefully, never reaped.’ Then it became a hobby once he learned that they too had meanings, and so he used that along with his flirting… “I liked them before, but then I found out that they had meanings behind them as well, and eventually it became a hobby,” he answers instead, skipping the long explanation for now. “How about you? Is it only because of your grandmother that you grow them now?”
A rose tone appeared over hearing the comment as he attempted to flatter the young student, before, she didn't consider that people would actually enjoy spending time with her. A shy girl who would stay by herself in a garden unable to come out, it wasn't until she met Rin that the idea of 'making a friend' ever crossed her mind. And even then, there were people who rejected her attempts. So it really made her feel so much better about herself when someone new seemed to be so willing of getting to know her.
'Not only because of her, she was merely the one who made me cherish them as much as I do, you know. She always talked to me about a garden named Amahara, this garden is like heaven itself, beautiful flowers grow in it, and I wanted to see it, we both wanted to. But then...'
She pauses her speech and looks away recalling memories of her frail grandmother and the terrible event that took away her life. But she isn't supposed to cry in front of someone she just met, and thus, solves to swallow the pain and shake her head in hopes of making the sensation go away.
'Anyway, what kind of desserts do you enjoy the most? I am fond of strawberry cream cake, tea is something we always had at home so I'm very fond of it, although, I know there's a lot of people who love coffee.'
Inigo got lucky as Shiemi wasn't as good to figure out whenever a boy decided to flirt with her, so his attempts would pass her by unnoticed, this could either lead him to give up his trying or try harder. At any rather, she had to admit to find a lot of comfort in having someone to spend the evening with. Specially someone so open and nice.

"The warm days are over, and the snow has come—is what I would like to say. I bid you welcome to this dying world, this land of eternal winter!"
An instant frown across her visage, unsure of why the boy would be so pleased in musing such things...
"I mean...it makes sense what you're saying now that winter is here, but you know... plants just go to sleep until the snow is gone and green lands resurrect once more."
"Ah." Well. He wasn’t expecting that. Though, why wouldn’t she? Shiemi was a kind person and liked to help so of course she would offer. He kind of wants to say no, just because he won’t be able to buy everything he wants while she’s there, but he can’t say no to that face. “If it’s not too much trouble…”
Not really thinking that offering some aid would trouble the other she offers a gentle smile before turning around awaiting for his lead.
"Yuki-chaa----I---I mean, Okumura sensei, what exactly are you planning to get at the store? Maybe if we split the duty we can get it done faster?"
It was quite typical of Shiemi to not want to be a burden on anyone, but what she didn’t seem to understand was that Yukio really didn’t mind at all, considering she was one of the first actual friends he ever made and was probably the closest person to him aside from his brother. However, knowing that was one thing, and explaining was another.
[text]: I’m not very busy, it’s been a very slow day when it comes to teaching and I don’t have any missions,
[text]: And Ani already finished his homework. He also said he’d love some practice with a new soup recipe he found.
Conveniently, Rin had already started on some soup that they’d been intending on having for lunch, so Yukio went to the kitchen and had his brother make a to-go bowl without any further ado and started for the supply shop.

<Ah--w-ell... if that is the case then I will await here, thank you Yuki-chan! ♥>
She could only hope to don't look too bad, after all, the Okumura making time to help her out was good, maybe she could even have a catch up of the classes she missed? It wasn't really concerning to her considering that it was the first time in a long time she didn't show up. Shiemi pondered for a while if she should remain in bed but solved to get up and make some tea, it would be rude of her to not receive him properly after all the kindness.
;—≼☽≽ He gets the vague sense that ‘Moriyama’ is not her first name but well, he had to work with what was given to him. So far however, he couldn’t tell if she was simply oblivious to his flirting or was not affected at all, which itself could be good or bad. Good because Inigo hasn’t scared/annoyed her off (and he’s hoping there won’t be a ‘yet’ to be said). Bad because well… How will his attempts at making her smile work if she didn’t get them? “It’s nice to meet you as well, Moriyama,” he started, sounding just a little dazed due to this mulling over what to do.
At Shiemi’s shy tone, Inigo knew then that going on strong would be an awful idea, so perhaps if he simply continued as he did… “That’s alright,” Inigo said, giving her a small smile, “I don’t know many places around here either, just a few that I passed by. Why not, after we’re done at the cafe, learn of more together?” It’d be fun, since Inigo was not used to this kind of place, and it was better than searching alone. “Do you like that idea? We don’t have to of course, if you choose not to and only want to come back.” Though he says this, the mercenary already holds his hand out for her to take; prepared to go to the little cafe at the corner not too far away from here.
Ahhhh, did she sound all that serious? Why was he using her surname? Well, if he wanted to use it then she shouldn't become worked up on it! Some of her classmates did too...so it didn't mean something bad after all. She hesitates however in taking his hand... wasn't that too straightforward considering they had just met? She didn't recall doing that in the past so quickly not even with Rin!
She fidgets with her index fingers whilst looking at his hand before she finally adds.
"I would love to go to that place, maybe it turns out to be good, you know? We mustn't judge it before trying it out!"
Offering a warm smile at the other before taking a step forward, unsure if she had been rude for not taking his hand so quickly but she didn't want to be rude either. So she motions him to start walking...
"Well. If we don't spend too much time there, then I guess we could walk around a little, but I don't like being out during the night, so I can't promise much on that regard."
She then goes back to be quiet before throwing a random question, not too sure if she should keep conversation, but she knew that making friends took some effort so she wasn't going to just let it slide so easily!
"Inigo, why do you like flowers?"
"I was just on my way to the store for a few things." Namely energy drinks and maybe a to see if the new volume of a certain manga was out. Maybe. “It’s nice to see you out and about, Shiemi-san.”
The store, he needed to do grocery shopping perhaps?
"Y-Yuki-chan! Do you want for me to tag along so I can help you with your shopping?"
Best help him, specially if he has to buy food for Rin, she knows how much that boy eats.
' oi, shiemi !! '
She lets out a small squeak after being caught off guard by the boy. Before turning around a little shaky.
"R-Rin— why are you being so loud so suddnely?"
;—≼☽≽ “Your grandmother taught you right,” Inigo replied, agreeing too with her words; thankfully, she made no remark about his interests in gardening considering most of the time if he took the time to explain, they’d call him girly for caring past the flower bouquet. But in the field of dating, one way to keep a person there was to talk of their interests, so Inigo stuck with what they both had a similarity in. “Of course I would like to, sweetheart.” He did ask, after all, but he wanted to be sure she was alright with that.
Now that they had agreed, which destination should they travel to? But first… “Ah, I nearly forgotten, my dear, but my name is Inigo. A flower does not care for the names given to it by others, but if I may have the name you want to tell me?” he asked, standing up and away for her personal space, patiently.
Moving arms to rest behind his back, Inigo said, “On my way here, I walked across a nice cafe, perhaps we may spend our time there.” And if he had an luck, it could even serve his favorite lemon cake with chocolate frosting.
The petite blonde slowly got up making sure to clean the knee area of her kimono in case it had gotten a bit of dust on it. Thinking to herself that this boy really did seem to be a nice one, when she had gotten used to the guys from school who were a bit more... coarse but she didn't mind it at all, not even the things they liked because she knew, despite all of this they were going to be friends... or so she hoped..
"Uhm well my name is... Moriyama Shiemi, it's nice to meet you... Inigo!"
She thought of it to be a nice name aside it wasn't something she was used to hear so he probably was from another country. But she didn't want to sound sneaky and ask of business that got nothing to do with her, plus she had just met him!
"A coffee well, if you think so, then I guess is fine... I don't know many places like those... so yeah... we can go there..."
The more she talked the more her voice lowered down in a shy way.
