okay. "Kane County" rough draft. like- EXTREMELY rough draft as in im writing this as i go
this is my way of staying committed to something i say im gonna do--put it online so if i dont finish it someone will be able to call me out on it xDDDDDDD
I couldn't fall asleep so I started writing this @ 1am. it's 3 am now and im sleepy ahh hell i literally cant write ts anymore :dizzy:
Garth snuggled up to Wayne, gently laying his head onto his chest as Wayne spooned his arms around him in a warm, loving hug.
"nyeehhhhh...I'm so tiredddd~" Garth playfully whined, hiding his face into the fabric of Wayne's black t-shirt
(i know that sounded weird it's 1am at night leave me alone)
"i know, i know..." Wayne said, as he brushed his hands thru Garth's long blonde hair. "...i'm really sorry i kept you up at the studio for so long. I swear it was going to be a short little recording session, but Toby was really insistent on talking to me about something..."
"Toby?" Garth sprung his head out of Wayne's chest, poking his head up to stare at him, a curious gaze twinkling in his marble blue eyes. "Who's Toby?"
"Toby Capers, the guy from the indie label? Don't you remember him? He said he was gonna hook me up with that venue with Coldplay."
"Ooooohh....yeaahhh, Toby!
...isn't he the guy with the weird dog?"
"yeahyeah, that guy....*chuckles*"
"What? Why are you laughing?"
"Sorry- it's just- you're staring at me like crazy right now-"
"OH! Oh- I'm sorry--I don't mean to stare so hard..."
"Nono, it's okay...I like looking at your eyes. They're pretty."
Garth began to blush a bit. "O-oh...u-um...thank you..."
Wayne leaned in to kiss Garth's forehead and then hugged him closer, lovingly squeezing him into a compassionate embrace.
"It's crazy...after all these years...you're still as pretty as when we first met. You even smile the same way, too. It's insane."
"Heheh...yeah, I know. I think you still look pretty too. But you look so different now."
"N-not in a bad way...but, like, you look...different.
Like in the recording studio, they have like- old posters of you from like 1999 or something all on the walls. Or they have old pictures up of us doing Wayne's World together from 20 years ago. And it's kind of...surreal seeing you like that. You looked so much more different when you were younger. And not in a bad way...it's more like...it's really nice that we've been together that long. That's what I mean."
"...I guess you're right.
Just curious...what's different about me now?"
"What's different about you now?"
Garth looked up at Wayne, and then stared at him for a bit. He sat in silence, meticulously studying his lover's face--his shiny, burgundy brown eyes, (i know burgundy is a shade of red, it sounds catchy stfu) his dark brown hair that he still liked to wear long, stopping just short of his shoulders, the way the bridge of his nose curved up & met perfectly with his eyebrows, and the tiny little bump on his face, that sat low on his left cheek, that he had since he was little.
It was weird. He usually didn't like staring at people too much--it always made him uneasy--but at the same time, something about analyzing people's faces was really interesting to him. Looking at all the different facial features on a person tended to calm him down--especially if it was Wayne. Because- well- it's Wayne.
He thought about it for a while, but eventually, he decided...
"Pshhh...I dunno, your face is bigger."
"...dude-" Wayne giggled. "What???"
"I-I dunno it's just- I mean all I really noticed changed was your face got bigger- or something-"
"Well. I guess in that case there's more of me to love, huh?"
"Yea...I guess~" Garth smirked as he pecked a kiss at Wayne's cheek.
