I like to run one-shots with my friends using the SWLLWT cast, recently did one based off of Clue and I wanted to share the sprites I used! (+ Micah who I am playing for another friend's campaign!!)
Collage+life has been a lot, though as this semester comes to an end I should have more time to share with you guys more about SWLLWT! In the meantime, here's a poster I drew for one of my classes!!
The Kaleid is the place in-between everything, anything, and nothing. A kaleidoscope of windows, walls, floors, ceilings, and doors into every known place of existence and non-existence. It’s the border making sure each infinite amount of universes, planes, existences, and voids stays separate and does not collide into each other. It’s the membrane that keeps each universe stable and physical. And it was just that since the beginning of creation until it slowly gained a mind (or minds) of its own. And those minds watched those words. And it started to dream. Dream of life.
That’s when the Kaleid became its own being. It still couldn’t exist outside of its realm and no life could enter its realm. It had no physical form to exist as. So it just watched. And watch for eons upon eons. That is, until an outsider broke through the kaleidoscope membrane and crashed into its realm.
That is when it met a being that called itself Scape (created by @clownentity). A being that was the void itself. Scape had shattered a part of the Kaleid to breach through it. And those shattered parts separated from the Kaleid and formed its own physical being. It learned that if it broke off pieces of its mass, it could be molded into anything. Objects, structures.... people. It started to create its own beings from itself. These characters were able to come and go from the Kaleid as they please and travel all across the multiverse. It called those creations its Proxies. And it began to live life in any other universe through them.
As it continued to create, it began to make different types of creations. Characters, places, events. So many ideas were sprouting in its head. It wanted to make its own universes. Its own stories.
As of now, the Kaleid itself isn't completely aware. It never really was. It has a lot of minds and ideas, but no structure to truly “think”. The Proxies help organise all those minds and thoughts to have any actual impact on the universe. Still, while Kaleid watches everything, it’s still not fully connected to anything mentally. It’s essentially in a perpetual dream-like state.
The main cast of "Stories We Live, Lives We Tell"! These are all of their current (and hopefully final) designs! Below the cut there are some sketches+information about them all!
Dexter is the main character we follow, waking up in a universal cross point known as The Amalgam. Though a combination of dumb luck and past ties, he ends up winning the favor of the ruler of the land. Going into everything with complete unawareness and stubborn attitude, he will fight tooth and nail to get what he sets his mind to.
Katty is one of the "clowns", the group of characters who assist managing the place. She is the youngest and newest, still engulfing herself in cringe culture. Katty is desperate for the validation of others, playing up her "ditsy" nature when she can.
Detarot is the most disgruntled of the clowns, despising their role and wanting freedom despite never seeming to chase it. Detarot has a good head on their shoulders, even if they can be uptight. They are plagued by their memories, insisting they've moved past grudges they still hold.
Oak always seems to be too calm during any given situation, having an aura about him that makes him trusted by others. He has a fondness for plants and nature, typically helping new residents adjust to their new environment.
Gerald runs the legal and licensing department.
Kano is an extension of another being, sent to The Amalgam to help keep the place in tact (and keep an eye on Scape). They do not have a full grasp on the emotions others have, almost completely disregarding them.
Scape is the ruler and creator of The Amalgam, abiding by its own strict rules it made up. It doesn't fully understand the residents it tries to appease so desperately, but it certainly won't give up anytime soon.
Some old-ish doodles, comics, and some "pngtubers" used for past campaigns! A lot of the designs and some lore is outdated, as well as some of this including friend's characters! So, none of this is CANON, but I still think they are fun and should be shared!

I am so nervous posting this, but I hope you guys will enjoy what I have to make!! Ill get more information about the comic out asap, but for now I hope this introduction catches your eye!!
