The grey-skinned medic was always one of the last to head back to base after battle, either so he could calm down after the hustle and bustle or caused by that need. This meant that when the young doctor came across an unfamiliar body, clad neither in red nor blue, there was no one for him to ask what he should do about it. He crouched down, tilting his head at the woman with wings, taking no note of her odd anatomy. âH-hello?â he asked softly.
She looks up at the man, a fear in her eyes. The lab coat doesnt help. âNn-not- nnot wish-â she canât finish her sentence. She doesnt have enough physical energy.
The medic frowned with concern. He didnât have a clue what she was trying to say, so he ignored it. âA-are you alri-alright? D-d-do you need hel-help?â
Ramhart fired another shot to her leg opposite the already injured arm. âYour choice. However, I believe youâll find yourself wanting a more boring place soon enough.â He continued to stalk around the medical table to be closer to Symona, looking down his nose at her.
âGah, you have a jumpy trigger finger!â She says with growing irritation. His shooting her isnt making her wanna leave. Its making her wanna teach him a lesson.
âAnd you are irritating and full of yourself. Nobodyâs perfect,â he said with the smugness of the atheist oldest cousin explaining something to his sister in law at thanksgiving dinner. âYouâll faint from blood loss in at most ten minutes, so if you fight youâll only make this easier for me as your movement increases blood flow.â

@tania-grey said: (For Ramhart) The woman heard about a war like feud in the area. Dangerous, they said. Youâd have to be crazy to enter. She grins, having already found her way onto one of the bases while they are supposed to be away feuding. Her mischievious grin only widens with greed in her eyes, greed for the thrill of tge danger to pull off a trick like this. She edges into what appears to be the medical lab and sees something big, shiney, and important. Bingo. She picks it up to find a place to hide it.
Ramhart didnât expect anyone in his lab - his teammates knew well enough about him to never go near him unless desperate - so when he heard footsteps coming from inside he immediately went on alert. He drew a gun and opened the door as quietly as he could, peering inside. The woman wasnât wearing anything close to the uniform of any class on RED or BLU, so she probably wasnât hooked up to respawn. He closed the door behind him and pointed his weapon at her chest. âExplain yourself,â the medic said in a commanding tone, his height only adding to the natural intimidation of his grim expression.
Her hear leaps up her throat, only broadening her smile briefly before turning around to face the man. Her eyes scan the man briefly and, instead of being intimidated, she finds herself rather pleased. No, its not going according to plan, but adding trouble to her day seems like nothing but a gift.
âJust looking,â she says nonchalantly, utterly disregarding the gun aimed at her. âWhatâs this?â She asks, heaving the healing ray onto the table, truly not knowing what itâs function is- nor does she care.
âYou have no business being here,â the medic said flatly, ignoring her question. âWould you rather be escorted out, or have a bit of a longer stay?â Ramhartâs last few words had a sinister edge, the corners of his mouth twitching up.
Symona smirks. Two can play at this game of ignoring questions or, better yet, answering them incorrectly. She likes his confidence and sinisterness. Finally, someone to rise to the challenge of her need for danger, adrenal rush. âIâm very used to being where I shouldnât be,â she answers. Completely disregarding the gun aimed at her, she trails her finger as she walks to the other side of the medical table. She looks at one of the many cabinets, idly wondering to herself how much anesthesia he has here while her free hand lingers at her side, near the mace on hip.
Symonaâs blatant lack of respect was irritating Ramhart. Without changing his facial expression, the gun dipped slightly to aim at the arm lingering near her hip and he fired, not even blinking. âCare to answer my question now?â
âGah!â She hisses at the pain in her arm, her other hand going to cover the wound. âYou got some serious anger issues. Usually takes longer before people wanna shoot me.â She looks at the man ruefully, not too pleased, but at least she hasnt been tipped off the edge yet. âI havent even insulted you.â
âIt wouldnât change anything if you did,â Ramhart said simply, rounding the medical table to be on the side opposite her. âThis is your last chance to leave.â

âIâm sure you have a much better bedside manner than could be expected of most Medics here.â Really she had no idea what he was like, and her own experience with Medics wasnât too badâshe usually sought Ferde out when possibleâbut she felt the need to assure him that his services were useful, even if his being a good RED Medic would mean her team getting beaten more often.
âI-I wouldnât kno-kn-know, m-my team-teammates norm-normally go t-t-to other m-medics,â he shrugged. âI-Iâm not su-surprised. I d-d-donât think m-ma-many of them kn-know Iâm⊠here.â The doctor picked at a splinter in the wooden floor, made difficult by his thick gloves.
âOh.â She looked at him for a long moment, wondering what it would be like to fly so completely under the radar. Even after she had left her fatherâs house, there were always people who checked in on her regularlyâeven if it was only to make sure she had the rent, or that the job was complete. âI suppose that might have its upsides. Like little breaks like this one.â
âY-yeah, itâs n-n-nice getting aw-away fro-from th-th-the... noise,â he let out a small noise that couldâve been a laugh. âE-even if Iâm n-n-not sure- not- Iâm not always s-sure what Iâm s-supposed to be doing.â

âItâs a bit of climbing but itâs not too bad.â Physical therapy had helped her greatly, and her job here would be much more difficult if it werenât for that. She started off towards the edge of the battlefield at a fair paceâfor her height, anyway. Hopefully no BLUs would spot them.
The doctor nodded and followed her, looking about to make sure nobody was around. âTh-thank you, mis-miss Isabelle,â he said as he took a seat in the sniping nest. âI-I donât get th- I donât u-understa-stand humilat-humilation r-round.â
âTheyâre like hunting dogs,â Isabelle said as she sat down beside him. âYou feed them what they catch when they hunt for you, but you still have to feed them otherwise.â She decided it didnât matter if that made less sense to him. âI never participate in them myselfââ a sustainable lie at present ââbut I canât say Iâve ever had a chance to wait one out with a RED. Youâre welcome up here whenever you like, aside from matches, of course.â Her smile faded. âYouâre not going to tell the other REDs about this nest, right?â
Alhwin looked confused. âI-I understand humil-humiliation r-round i-is the firs- the first p-part of that alle-alleg-al- o-of that me-metaph-phor, but wh-whatâs the second p-p-part?â He looked up to Isabelle and shook his head with wide eyes. âN-no, I-I hardl- I donât r- I b-barely talk t-to- about anyth-anything at all, I-I just fol-follow whoever n-needs healing.â
âGood.â She hadnât meant to alarm him, and to try and put him back at ease she smiled and put the thought behind herself. âI just meant that a lot of the people here might have developed a taste for violence. They get some of it in-battle, but thatâs different than what they can do in a humiliation round.â She didnât know too many people here well, but she imagined they were like the criminals she used to associate with, although she feared them less.
âO-oh,â the doctor said quietly when she explained it further. He pulled his knees up to his chest. â⊠Th-thatâs a bit ter-terrif-t- v-very scar-scary. I-Iâm glad I g-get t-t-to heal p-peo-people.â
âIâm glad too.â She liked him like he was, with his rare gentleness, although part of her knew it was selfish. He would end up hurt sooner or later. âIf I was on RED, Iâm sure I would owe a lot of wins to you.â
He blushed and laughed nervously. âI-I-Iâm not mu-m-much help, Iâm- Iâm pr-probably a b-b- m-more of an an-an-nan-na-noyance. I-I donât think Iâm v-very good a-at- very use- h-helpful. A-at least- well, y-yeah.â The medic looked down as he trailed off, realizing that he was rambling unnecessarily.
