It’s so funny to me how huge the difference is between bylers who’s favorite character is Will vs bylers who’s favorite character is Mike because Will fans are like “Will deserves the world and nothing but sweetness and love” and then Mike fans are like “please Mike is so gay I hope he gets targeted by vecna so we can root around inside his head and also he’s very overdue for an emotional breakdown” and you know what, we’re both right.
Nancy teaching the Party how to use firearms just in case. Watching her brother miss every single shot he takes, Dustin trying but struggling a bit to handle the gun, Lucas of course is a bit better and proclaiming himself their resident sniper. Will is the best, surprising everyone but just grinning while everyone freaks out about it.
Trying to get back into art. Tried out drawing Micheal Wheeler on some sticky notes I found! I'm not the best with drawing people's likeliness, so if anything of note needs to change, let me know!
Why did Will's coming out scene look like an assembly?? Should that not have been like... a private moment between his closest friends? Maybe his mother and brother too? Have the same emotional connection that Robin's coming-out had in s3?
Feel like it would have been far better with a small group of people that had an emotional connection to him. Kinda made me cringe watching despite the sentiment being there. All I saw during most of the scene was Kali ghosting in the background.
Finished up the Stranger Things episodes! It was fun, excited to see the ending of it. Thoughts below, nothing crazy, just rambling opinions without looking into it much.

Ugh Holly being stuck made me so sad 😭😭 Lucas saving Max was such a cute scene, especially with Robin and Vickie. Lumax 🫶🫶🫶🫶. Also, Karen came in clutch, I'm glad Robin survived because I was SUPER nervous she'd get whacked. My lesbian queen came in clutch AND her gf survived. Love it. Glad the gays did not get buried!
Honestly the Duffers had to have been rage baiting y'all with the 5 deaths thing, right? Or they're actually going to whack out five characters in the 2 hour finale 😭😭?? Who would they even kill atp, they've psyched our for like half of the cast so far. Obviously Kali, maybe Murray? Dr Kay seems like she's an obvious death, but I don't know if she'd be considered a main character. If they do, they have to commit, dude.
Also, Byler fans, y'all got crumbs but it's okay and I wish the best for the finale. Y'all had high hopes, but I WILL be enjoying the fruits of your suffering through fire fanfiction. I feel you, but honestly, Netflix has never not disappointed me so I'm a bit numb to it.
Jancy, my absolute beloved, I am glad they made it out safe 😭. Super cute. I DID think they were going to pull a Titanic 'This table isn't big enough for both of us' shtick where Jonathan descends into the Grey Ooo of Despair. Hopefully they get to live happily ever after. They're so sweet. I'm also a Stancy disliker, so I was glad they didn't double back on her character development by either making her accept the proposal in full or get with Steve.
El and Kali... Girl if this show ends with El sacrificing herself for a life of peace I'd be surprised. Kali, maybe, but the biggest character? Maybe. Toss up on that.
Don't think Netflix is brave enough to keep Byler as anything but subtext or any of the main characters super dead. I mean, they introduced Eddie to kill him. And Bob. Fun episodes, still never topping Season 3 for me unless they have an fire soundtrack and dramatic scenes.
I live for the drama, especially with Max's first attempted escape from Vecna in S4. It was beautifully done and unless we get something that lines up with the marvelous Kate Bush, it'll still hold as one of the best scenes in the show.
My favorite is still the Wheelers! Ofc. Mike, Nancy, Holly? Poor Ted is out of commission, but Karen went crazy. They all ate, I need to see Mike match his Mom's clutch in the Finale. Please! Let my king do something super cool. We got a taste of it when he went ham on that demo in the Turnbow's!! Need to see him swinging. Maybe bombing. I'd take a nice bomb. Put that paladin to work. I need to see my favorite loser struggle.
Overall, not horrible.
Everyone's theories and crazy connections/gates were super fun to see though, I'm hoping some of them come to fruition in the finale! But others, I'd kill to see them be written into fire AUs. Bit of a canon divergent fan over here.
