i’m so proud of dan. i love him so incredibly much and i’m so glad that he feels safe and loved and accepted. i’m glad he didn’t take his life, i’m glad he stayed strong through the bullshit life has thrown his way. i’m glad he found his person. i’m so fucking proud. coming out to friends and family is hard enough, i couldn’t imagine having to come out to a really gay community that he in fact made himself millions of people. i’m so proud of him. i love dan so much. i’m happy that he trusted us.

My name is Reb. I am 18 years old. My brother is turning 5 in February 2019. He has cancer. He was diagnosed with leukemia on August 2016. He is the sweetest boy you’ll ever see. He is such a strong fighter. He almost always had a smile whenever he was in the hospital for treatment. My mother has to drive out of the city an hour and a half one way to get him to the children’s hospital in Birmingham, Al. She is a single mother with 7 kids including me. My 4 younger siblings live with her currently. She works as a hostess at Cracker Barrel. She barely gets $100 a week. I have been trying to find a job to support her. Please donate or reblog to help cover hospital bills, gas, food, cost of living. I know you see a lot of these posts, but please even if it is $1. We need money form him, my kitten, the house. Our electricity will get cut off in 5 days…. I do t know how to make a post like this. I AM BEGGING EVERYONE. PLEASE HAVE KINDNESS IN YOUR HEARTS AND MERCY IN YOUR SOUL. Hi, I need help getting dnp's attention that for the chopsticks challenge video, they used elements of the Japanese war flag and it's super offensive. It's literally like having a swastika symbol on their thumbnail. It can get them into huge trouble. I've been trying to tweet them and comment on the videos but I think I need more phandom people to help me (without drawing the outside world's attention as much as possible)! Thank you so much!

Uh oh I thought I was the only one that noticed, as someone whose family members were victims of Japan’s invasions during WWII, that brief flash of Japanese war flag threw me off so much that I backed away from the screen. But I hoped I was only imagining it.

What bother me a lot was when they started to f**king STAB THE FOOD, which is a symbolic gesture of wishing a tombstone on someone at the dinner table. “I’m eating with you and I want you and your family to die.” And they kept talking about how Phil does it in restaurants… like, hun, i love you, but please don’t do that. Other Asian people are just gonna see you and think “oh another one of those kinda people.”

Chopsticks are such an intergeal part of eastern Asian culures in so many countries, and such intergration comes with proper rules, traditions, and values. Sadly there were SO MANY things DnP were doing wrong - their chopsticks’ tips pointed toward themselves, at some point they separated a pair to rest on either side of the plate like fork and knife, and they touched the tips of their chopsticks with hands constantly, it was just… facepalm.

Unfortunately, their behavior is not new to me or any Asian person. In the western hemisphere, many (white) people don’t give a fuck about etiquttes from other cultures. And it’s not like DnP had any Asian friends to teach them proper dinner table etiquettes, so it was just watching another western person demonstrating ignorance due to lack of thought.

As a white American, I knew all of these were disrespectful without having any Asian friends but I didn’t want to step out of line and call them out because I didn’t know exactly why or how it was disrespectful. I’m really glad this post landed on my dash because otherwise, I would’ve just brushed it off like “maybe I’m overreacting.”

Also no shade to Dan and Phil, but if you’re going to make an entire video surrounding a culture that isn’t yours, maybe educate yourself on the culture first…

For the whole contacting thing I’d say tagging them in this post and trying to send it to them! Dan saw the posts when we tried to warn him about his phone case possibly giving him chemical burns so they do see what we’re talking about on here!
