disney channel did it. they actually said it. they made one of their main characters on their show, amongst the midst of celebrating a jewish tradition, come out and say “i’m gay.”

he actually said “i’m gay.” no other way it could be misinterpreted; he’s gay.

i’m in tears. this is going to be so helpful to all the young boys and girls who watch this show because cyrus was able to use the word “gay”.

and it was to someone who he trusts! it was talked about beforehand! it wasn’t danced around, it wasn’t peer pressure; cyrus came out because he felt like he could trust jonah. he wanted to tell people because he now knows that being gay doesn’t make him weird or different; it makes him himself.

disney channel just made history, and you know what? it was fucking awesome. i don’t care if other people have already done it, this is a middle school boy on DISNEY CHANNEL using the word “gay”. this is so fuckin amazing.

i adore rebecca sugar’s loose drawings and her art is so charming! i wanted to kind of emulate that with some cartoony doodles myself, but of course i can’t do these with just a few precise lines like a comic book artist or an animator would (should practise that). the colored jacket is an approximation of a couple of fleece garments i wore when i was still in elementary school. and the winter feeling is just me being too cold to go outside. stay warm, wear layers, cover your ears!

also browsing all rebecca sugar drawing content i learned steven’s face is a heart and i’m going to die i love the character design in this show.
