Grant Haffner’s Vibrant Landscapes

Born in 1978 Berkeley, California and raised in East Hampton, Long Island Grant Haffner has been a resident of the East End of Long Island, New York for most of his life. Haffner’s images are inspired by and reflect the country roads, flat landscapes and surrounding water that we all enjoy. His signature motif of utility poles with power lines creates an original sense of movement and depth to his distinctive, colorful compositions.

When talking about his work Grant offers this. “When I drive I feel completely alive. For a small moment, in between this place and that, I am free from reality. My truck and I become a motion of blurred color, barreling through space and time. I like to keep my window open to listen to the sounds that traveling makes, to enjoy the smell of the landscape. Every trip is a new one, not one sunset is the same. On the road I am a part of the painting. I am movement, color, sound, adventure and emotions. This is my landscape.”

Precious Insects

Really Big Coin Skrekkøgle

This is our Really Big Coin. It is big because it makes other things look small when photographed next to it. Actually, it is a 20:1 replica of the EUR 50-cent, you see it being milled out here. We needed to do quite a bit of sanding, lacquering and smudging to obtain the desired look and some climbing to get into required shooting position (you need to get up real high to take good pictures). The result is a short series of photographs, attempting to visually scale down real-sized objects.

The Art of Alex CF

Alex CF  is a London based illustrator, writer, sculptor and vocalist in Morrow, Archivist, Carnist, Anopheli  His work is visceral and whimsical, creating elaborately detailed depictions of earthen ritual, dark folklore, and forgotten horrors. His frenetic lines and beautiful depictions can be seen on band artwork, record labels and book covers alongside his own personal projects. 

His personal artwork is inspired by animal mythology, the concepts of imbuing nonhumans with cultural, religious and ritualistic practices, creating fantastical naturalist scenes, with much of his personal illustrations connected by stories within a single narrative. Alex shop.
