New couch comes today!

I wish we would have done this at the BEGINNING of my maternity leave 🙄, but nevertheless I'm excited for a couch that can accommodate the whole fam!

Omg that time Tumblr did me dirty and changed the word "tuck" in "pelvic tuck" to something else when I was talking about it in reference to my baby and his position in a baby carrier!!!!

#we love Costco furniture lol #our other couch was a much much smaller one #and the cushions always slid off

My A1C came back well within the normal range! 🎉

Patio furniture 😎 still not sure how I want to arrange it... but it's here and I don't hate it.

I'm also working on adding curtains to the back wall to block our neighbors house and give more privacy.

I'm getting my A1C checked today and I'm very very very very anxious about it. I didn't end up doing a 6 week postpartum two hour glucose test because I just couldn't handle drinking the drink for a 7th time 🥴, so pleaseeeeeeee cross your fingers that my body has gone back to processing glucose normally.

Ms. 2.5 has been very against using the potty since baby has been born... but she was willing to try today (and was successful) for dye-free orange sprinkles 🤷

#she likes getting her diaper changed #in two weeks she's home with me for the summer and we're gonna get it done 💪#orange is her favorite color #she ate them out of a bowl lol

We're meeting with the bathroom folks today to get our money and sign a form that we won't sue them. 😅

We asked to meet at a restaurant near their office, because going to the office feels awkward. Somewhere neutral feels a lot safer... and we literally have to interact for like 30 seconds so I'd like to be drinking a beer while doing it.

Our new neighborhood has a neighborhood pool about a five minute walk from our house.

We went for the first time today and it was SO nice.

There's a small pool for kids with a toddler sized slide, a slightly deeper pool with basketball hoops, and then a normal pool with a shallow and deeper end. I think I can handle all three by myself in the small toddler pool this summer as long as I babywear W.

I feel so lucky to be able to give my kids a childhood where we can literally go to a pool daily in summer 🥹

Now that we don't have to prep for Small Claims Court, it's project central over here!

🏡 Repainting our guest room and installing a ceiling fan (this room will likely become one of the kids bedrooms once they are older)

🏡 Repainting the downstairs bathroom (and replacing light fixture/repainting mirror)

🏡 Planting some herbs and tomatoes on our patio

🏡 Replacing cabinet pulls on our basement kitchen cabinets

🏡 Patio furniture comes on Monday for the screen porch... but we have a rug!

🏡 Ordering a larger couch that can actually fit more than two people at once (Costco ftw!)

#new house #projects #diy #our house has 3 bedrooms on the main floor and two downstairs #but it's not a traditional basement because it has windows and a walk out #eventually we imagine the kids will want to move down to the bedrooms downstairs because they're a lot bigger #J's aunt and uncle and cousins are coming to visit in early July so we gotta be done before that

I feel like such a weight has been lifted off of us now that we settled with the bathroom folks over the mold remediation cost. We've been fighting this battle since September.

My anxiety level today is SO much lower than it's been in months.

Got us a fancy bottle of champagne to celebrate with tonight. 🎉

I'm now only pumping once at night at 1:30 am and it feels SO nice.

#I had been pumping at midnight and 3am #almost 12 weeks pp #baby W is still only waking up once #then he demolishes a massive bottle and passes out
