-I didn't name myself after Amber my Bokoblin OC, I just liked the name (turns out I liked it for a reason LMAO) and no this doesn't mean the Amber in my story was a girl. The RATC Amber is still it/its :)

-Cross' whole arc was 100% the catalyst (at least one of the many catalysts) jhlkasdfkhjkj TURNS OUT WRITING A TRANSFEM CHARACTER THAT I WAS REALLY NERVOUS WOULD BE RECIEVED WELL ONLY TO HEAR "omg this is such a good depiction" MADE ME THINK REALLY REALLY HARD ABOUT WHY CROSS' STORIES SPECIFICALLY HIT ME ON A PERSONAL LEVEL WHEN I WAS THE ONE WHO WROTE THEM AAAAAAAAAAAAA

In any case.........its pronounced Y-eights or "Yates" as you say. Like one long syllable :3

I'm 99% sure that's how Yeates is pronounced irl since I've heard it used as a last name before

I am dying at Yee-a-tees like you'd pronounced Socrates lakdjfkajfk

With Yeates I wanted it to be a more "Hylian" name derived from its old designation, hence why its name is like if you say E-8 very fast.

“Ehhh…how would my designation be pronounced in Hylian? That’s a good start…” All three leaned in closer and pondered in different poses. “Eh…Eel..Electric Eight , I’m pretty sure…” “Electric…” The Hylian word rolled off the tongue - just as much as their own.
